Why do you want it on PC? So we can hear the PC fanboys complain about more "console ports"? If you spend large amounts of money on a comp built for gaming you're just going to have to accept that not every game is going to be available. The console fans accept this (hell they have to considering how many games are PC exclusive) so why can the PC fans suck it up and do the same?
Why do you not want it on PC? Just as TB stated, with a proper port, the PC can have better textures, AA, better framerate(and honestly why wouldn't you want that especially in fucking Blighttown)...etc. Look at Skyrim, Bethesda still haven't yet released the Creation kit and look at the number of awesome mods available. Just imagine the possibilities if From Soft shipped the game with decent modding capabilities.

Honestly, Namco and From Soft will be wasting a huge opportunity if they do not port this amazing game to the PC.

Because it looks like a fun game that would be a solid fit on the PC?

I really dislike this sort of passive-aggressive stance a lot of people in the gaming community have. Who cares about what platform a game is on? If it's a good game then it should be on as many platform as possible so that as many people as possible could play it. That's a good thing.

The only time that becomes a problem is when the developers either do a shoddy job porting a game (No one likes that regardless of the platform after all!) or the game is so homogenized in an attempt to appeal to as wide a base as possible that it fails to have any real strengths. In general however I see no reason for a game no to be made available to as many potential fans as possible, that's why I'm happy Witcher 2 is coming to the 360 and wish the developers the best of luck with that. Despite it probably never being something I'd play myself, I was sad when I heard the port for the first Witcher game was cancelled.

A good game is a good game and as many people should play it as possible, especially so when it seems like the sort of game that would be a natural fit.

Only thing that I don't know how they will get around is the control scheme. This game was made to be played on the PS3/360 controller pad and bringing it a Mouse and Keyboard setup would be removing one part of what made the game so good.

Playing this game on MnK setup would be like having a wet dream. You just could not feel it.

I have it on xbox but I signed your petition, I love the game and I prefer my PC massively.

Only point I'm worried about is that hotkeys might make the game at least 10% easier :p

To clarify I would buy a second copy to be able to play it on PC.

Then plug in a PS3/Xbox controller.

I'm getting sick of having to say that.

No. Just no.

You do not know the amount of no that's going through my mind.

Just. No.

Not a good idea.

Dark Souls could never be better enough than the console versions to please the superior PC gamers. It was conceived with the crappy outdated shitty consoles in mind, therefore it is worthless as enjoyment, tech validation and as a source of superiority.

Sorry guys, hardware superiority and pathetic pride have a price. :(

Pffft you're just worried our version will be better (which it will be obviously) ;)

[small]jokes[/small]

Whenever I say 'I'm a PC gamer' these days I feel like I'm admitting to being in Slytherin house...

Console accessories are just as crappy as the consoles themselves. If you want to play PC, use a keyboard and mouse, otherwise it's pointless.

Not a chance I'm playing a platformer like Super Meat Boy with a clunky keyboard or a racing sim with a binary left and right input.

I generally try to be more polite and subtle than this, but seriously, what a stupid statement. The PC has always been about accessories whether that be a gamepad for playing platformers, a wheel for driving sims, a joystick for sims and shooters, or good ol' mouse and keyboard for games that suit that control method.

One of the reasons I enjoy the PC so much is because of that diversity and being able to choose the control method that best suits me and the game, as I think just about any long-time PC gamer will agree. Entire games are built around that (Admitedly less so now than there used to be) but you've got games like ARMA that supports head-tracking devices or Freespace 2 and Mechwarrior which DEMAND a joystick. Those are PC games built with the intention of third party devices.

This 'mouse and keyboard only' thing has got to be the most idiotic statement I've read in awhile.

Generalizations are bad. Don't lump everyone under a single label just because some of that general group (vocal minority?) are assholes...

The only thing they'd need to change is the control scheme (And for the love of god, mouse cursor enabled in the ingame menus). Remove Z targeting and lock the camera behind the character (perhaps a toggle switch for it?). At least that would be my preferred MnK setup. If not then Ill just use a controller. I have the game on PS3, but the massive FPS drops the moment someone farted some particle effects (exaggeration) pushed me away, and the main reason I'd like a PC version so I can have a solid 60FPS =/

Don't give cred to what the peasants use. :(
You're only gimping yourself with your ignorance.

I would buy Dark Souls again if it came out on PC. That being said, I'm happy with the PS3 version as is. It would be a shame that people on the PC would miss out on this great game though, it's really one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a very long time.

Keyboard + Mouse controls on the game would probably end up being wonky at best, terrible at worst though.

Edit: I like TB sometimes, but in that video he came across as a bit insufferable. It's not like the consoles have ignored the Souls games, they've done very well for a rather new IP that certainly has niche appeal.

I kind of got the feeling that he was trying to make every single point possible to justify it to namco but as a result came across as a bit of an elitist jerk...

I play on my PC mostly and even I went a bit sadface at that video

Yeah, it seemed very masturbatory. And he HAD to throw in cheap shots at used games. >_>
I'm also not able to "appreciate" "hardcore" games, apparently.
