This is the crux of my issue with this. There is no way on earth I will rebuy Dark Souls 2 just to play it in DX11. It's like a bad joke... but it isn't.
I've got the 360 version, all of the DLCs released as of writing this (There's a rumor going around about more.), and I was quite satisfied with the time and effort I put into the game.
But holy fuck am I going to buy this for the PS4 and play the shit out of this. I don't care if the only benefit I get for paying for it is a graphics upgrade, possible lighting and darkness upgrade, and the multiplayer upgrades.
Anyway, I've heard some story stuff changes.
Really hoping the Emerald Herald turns out to be another piece of Manus. Shanalotte fits the naming theme the other pieces have going.
Or that we get to fight Vendrick in his prime.
Or that we get to fight Shanalotte. Maybe even her as a dragon.
Or that we can have Shanalotte do what the other pieces of Manus do, become the queen for kingdom the player makes. It would be awesome.
Mostly I'm just hoping for another ending like Demon's and Dark 1 had.
I do wonder why people are getting so bent out of shape over this. Oh no they are re-releasing a game the humanity.
I quite like Souls so I might get it when I'm done with the other "Souls" game and I've chewed through enough of my other games. One that comes to mind is embarrassingly I have yet to finish Soul Hackers so I guess I'm going to have to pledge to myself to complete that game first.
It's not about re-releasing per se. It's about making people who play on PC, and already own everything related to the game, rebuy the whole thing just to be able to play in DX11 and have some gameplay changes that could've easily been applied only in a patch.
I'm really just curious about what exactly they're going to change in the original game. I won't rule out buying it as I did enjoy the original quite a bit, but I played it to death and can't see myself buying it again unless the changes are more than just prettier graphics. They do mention more than just cosmetic changes so if they do actually rework the systems to a noticeable degree I can definitely see myself picking it up. I'm taking a little bit of a wait and see approach.

Probably just mad about Dark Souls II (like me).
There's nothing bad about this new release, even better if they're giving free content for people who own the game already. I personally just don't like it cause I already disliked the base game.
I let companies slide on one re-release, after that you start heading into Capcom territory.
Is somebody still there?
Because I have a question concerning the DX9 Version of the Game...
I want to buy the boxed version... but my PC is too old to manage DX11 upgrade (I looked at the system requirements)
sooo... do I get the DX9 Version in the box? Ord do I have to buy it online?
Or are there different boxes?
Does somebody know?
