I am at work right now and cannot wait to get back home and play it . I bought it on wensday last week , and every free minute of my time has been spent playing dark souls . I too think up strategies while at work and think of where i am going to go and what i'm going tondo next . The worst is when i'm at a boss and have to go to work . Forget thinking about work while onthe job , i'm thinkng about how i am going to beat that boss! It is a amazingly addictive game.

This thread may have well & truly died, but I have to say that I too have this strange addiction to Dark souls. I can say that I may never have been more addicted to a video game. The only problem is that after finishing it, all I can do now is attempt the PVP side of things which I find much harder than the game itself. No matter what strategy I take, I end up being raped by some annoying tosser with a better PVP build and more time on his hands

I agree with this thread. I've played Skyrim a bunch, gotten bored, and went right back to Dark Souls. Depite some problems (Blighttown lag, the damn archers in Anor Londo, etc.) it's earned its place as one of my favorite games of all time, and certainly my GOTY so far.

Thanks for the explanations guys, I've gotta say it definitely sounds good. I don't think I have the cash to purchase it anytime soon but I think I'll pick it up in the future. Cheers!

Well Demon's Souls is (I think) $20 now and they basically have the same gameplay so there's that option.

OT: Personally I like the game but I wish they would stop making swamps. Every single one has been nothing but annoying gimmicks. Then throw in the people who seriously think the best place to fight is over a map made of death pits and you get a long journey into the meaning of frustrating. Until you die once at least then you just pick up your stuff and keep walking.
