Dark Souls... On the Go!

Well, the new Nintendo Direct Mini that was highly anitcipated has come and gone. And I think the new what their Crown Jewel was. Dark Souls Remastered. Everybodies* favorite Action RPG, will have a remastered version. Dark Souls Remasstered has been announced for PS4, Xbox One, PC and finally the Nintendo Switch. PC, PS4 Pro and Xbox One X will have 4k resolution with 60 FPS, but for me the Switch getting the game on mobile is the real winner. A legendaryly addictive game to have to play at home and then whenever you go out if you quite didn't get that part of the game seems like the winner for me. I have to saythe Switch looks really nice with this addition (disclosure I was already planning on buying one, but I really like this idea). Traile below:

I get the idea of what you are saying but as a guy who bought a Switch.... the library is kinda shit right now and adding games that most people played years ago doesn't help, not to mention Nintendo not giving any meaningful discounts ever so my inclination to buy year old games like Zelda at near full price is not very high.

you say that and yet Skyrim is one of the most played games on the Switch....

Oh and FYI. Ys VIII only came out in 2016. and that was in Japan. didn't come to the West till 2017

Well I am now interested in Dark souls. Being able to play a full version on a new console is a nice reason to play. I'm more excited for Hyrule Warriors because I never got to play it on the Wii U.

Also we already knew this was coming because Nintendo Announced From Software support at the Switch reveal event. Nobody thought a new game was actually coming right?

So far the direct is still showing that Nintendo Switch is merely getting older ports. I hope there is a new announcement.

So what? the PS4 and PC versions were always going to be prettier. i can't play my PS4 or PC version in on the train or in the lunch room at work though can i?

also, no shit that it's also on PS4 and PC. that's basically the entire concept of 3rd Party Games. they are made by 3rd Party Developers OTHER than Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo and are usually put on multiple platforms.

If it's just improved visuals, I think I'll pass. There's some improvements to the series DS2 and DS3 made that I want to see for a DS1 remaster, like the upgrade system and resistance stat in particular.

Vita doesn't let me detach the controllers so i can set it up on a table meanwhile i do stuff for maximum comfort like this.

Dark Souls on a portable console?... I don't know how to feel about that. On one hand, I really loved this game and I spent hours trying to clear the entire thing. On the other hand, I really don't want to be sent to the asylum for screeching at the air whenever I die.

I'm curious to see if they're gonna change anything in the gameplay though, like how they bound controllers to the hands in Skyrim.
