Getting Astora's Straight Sword directly after being dropped off by the raven is always fun, but my truly reliable partner the whole game through for my DEX build was the Iaito.

It has a good strike speed and range, great DEX scaling, 300 pts bleed (which can easily be amassed in a nice 3-4 hit combo) and to top it off the second coolest power attack in the game. (The first is,of course, the Dragon Bone Fist shoryuken).

Balance is key, and this weapon isn't a flimsy whip or an enormous hammer, so it can handle almost any situation, save some annoying heavy armored guys (looking at your, boar).

No love for the Shotel? It does damage througn the shield, just make it +15 and use lighting charcoal or some shit like that and its really usefull since a lot of players arent expecting the damage

Im impressed at the amount of variety here. Truly it is a mark of a good game when even with an active PVP community there is this much variety.

Honestly after reading all of these I really want to make a new character to try out some of these... But I want to actually complete this game, not keep making 1000 lvl 1 chars

Heh, I saw your name in the forums before I ever heard about the boss in the game. All I could think about in the relatively short bossfight was if the giant butterfly was after my lady bitz.

Lightning Great Club! I've basically used clubs my entire first playthrough, and I can't be bothered to switch to a different moveset. I don't care how slow it is, nothing is more satisfying than watching my enemies crumble when I bring that massive piece of wood down like a thunder God!

Lightning Shotel +5, aka "The ***** Weapon". I'm one of those assholes with full Smough's that camps in Anor Londo invading for the Dark Moon Blades. (Shotel goes through shields and the electricity can stunlock so I just heavy attack to open the shield, then light attack spam to death) So far I killed over 200 players

EDIT: Also Velka's Rapier, just because I can deal about 200 damage if I hit your shield. If I hit you directly, you're dead. (I'm level 200 on NG+++, I have no life ;_

The Black Knight Greatsword, that thing allowed me to say, "What's so hard about the Capra Demon?" I killed the thing in three hits with that sword. The first phantom I killed in pvp can vouch for its brutality, he went down in two hits. Admitedly it is pretty useless in less lopsided pvp, but it crushes in pve.

My weapon of choice is a Lightning Battle Axe +5. I've used it since I got the base weapon as a random drop from a Hollow in Undead Burg, and it's served me well through the whole game. I only recently got the slab to upgrade it to +5 by defeating the Stray Demon.

The only time I've used another weapon (besides the Pyromancer's starting hand-axe) for my character was in the Catacombs where I had to switch to a Divine Club +5 to stop the skeletons respawning.
