That website is for a tabloid. That means they're not the slightest bit credible.

Unrelated: The DISH Fall Sales Event can kiss my ass.

I'm trying to keep my cautious optimism here....but Disney....you're making this awfully difficult.

Hoping this is just the rumor mill churning.

If it was going to happen, it would a be a clone much like the return of maul in the comics. As for concern for when it is set. They don't want to set it in any of the EU, and may well retcon alot of it

Um...

Why?

Vader was pretty much dead by the end of the original trilogy. What possible excuse could they have to bring him back??

Hopefully this isn't true. As I can't really imagine seeing Mark Hamill coming back to reprise his role. Last time I saw him, he's kinda aged a bit.

it's probably gonna be like Force Unleashed
you know, the interval between Vader's rise and Luke's battle

Disney have already said they will NOT re-hash the old characters. They are using a new timeline and a new part of the Star Wars universe.

This so-called "mole" is obviously just using a little fear mongering to get some money/attention.

I just love how this is shaping up. Whatever Disney pull out of their hat for Episode VII, it'll be a laugh, that's for sure. The sheer amounts of nerd rage this will generate around the web would be enough to physically sustain a million cynics for all time.
Star Wars has a whole expanded canon, with lots and lots of interesting post-EpVI characters and developments, including delightful Sith shenanigans... and Disney opt to dig up Vader's corpse. The hilarity of it slays me! xD

EDIT: Oh wait, nevermind - tabloid source.
Oh well, the thought of it was amusing anyway. Teeheehee.

Fucking... Wow...

And there goes any hope anyone might have had that Star Wars might make an upturn. Mind you I was cynical from the start.

Fuck you Disney, you Nazi loving bastards.

Seriously though I had a new hope for Star Wars when it was bought by disney, sure I was cautious but I had hope, this has shattered all hope. Well not all of it, I still have hope they'll do EU stuff...That'd be nice.

This news only lead me to believe they will set the film in this timeline (I don't know the whole plot but just the synopsis)-
It set into the far future and the main character is Cade Skywalker. In his youth he was a Jedi padawan however in that current setting, he is a bounty huner (don't know the reason for the change of career).
Anyway he show relucdent to return to be a Jedi and that the ghost of Vader did appear before him somewhere in the story. Vader warn him not to make the same mistake as he did.
That sounds like a ripoff of jedi knight 2 (kyle katarn used to be a jedi, stopped and became a independent worker with his wife, something happens to his wife and he wants to become a jedi again, luke warns him not to make the same mistakes with the dark side he did.

I mean I always wanted to see jedi knight 2 put into the movies but I was kinda hoping for something original. :/

Pull a Sion, I dare you.

Have him hate SO MUCH that he simply does not die.

Hell, better yet, just use Sion! Didn't they already break cannon by using him as a skin in the Force Unleashed games? Or was that just flavor coating?

Or you could make your own villain... Not leech off of good ideas from the past. Of course I can see through the grapevine that the source isn't exactly reliable, so this could all just be smoke coming from one of the more unclean ports of the human body, so this probably means nothing.

If this is true I take back everything positive I've ever said about the Disney inquisition-acquisition

Well...that's a spirit breaker. They could have made a new, awesome character, or focused on the travels of Qui Gon Jinn, or Yoda. But noooooooo. You had to make it safe, which at the same time makes it RIDICULOUS!

So how long did it take for Disney to fuck this up, 2 weeks,I'm shocked it didn't happen faster.

No, what's worse is that despite all of the hatred towards the films, people will still flock to see them no matter how bad they are. Simple because they are Star Wars.
And no matter how good they are, people like you will still claim they're terrible.

While it may be interesting to see former actors reprise their roles from the original Star Wars, I feel another sequel may be a bad move.

Disney has an opportunity to refresh the franchise and do their own thing, but already they are anchoring themselves to past projects.

My suggestion would be to capitalize on "The Old Republic" era because it allows new characters in a new time period, and the freedom for the producers to take a new story angle.

Better yet, make a movie about the origins of both the Jedi and the Sith...be creative!

Oh this is going to be good. I can't wait to see what kind of contrived bullshit retcon they pull out of their ass. Also, you know it's great they want to bring back Leia, Luke, and Han but let's be realistic about this. All three actors are old, at least in their 60's by my reckoning, and none have aged very well.

Disney has a chance to really strike out and build a new trilogy that can far remove itself from the originals. (lord knows the prequels already did that) Sadly it looks like they're going to pass on that and just go for heartless corporate shilling. The temptation of all that merchandising was just too great I suppose.

On the other hand, if they're going to be bringing back dead characters then maybe this scene will become a reality.

Because if nothing else we shouldn't half-ass the crazy, only a fully-assed dose of crazy will make it right.

I do not recall saying that they are bad. Or even imply it.

All I said was that people will say they hate them, but will still watch them anyway, just because it's Star Wars. I did not say whether or not I thought they'd actually be good or bad.

Ehh... Surely as a ghost? He appears as a ghost already, he is pretty definitely dead. They would be much better off keeping it that way. Especially if bringing him back could mean that bellend that played Anakin having anything to do with the new films.

People are always forgetting one very important detail: It's a Disney Sequel!

They have always treated even their most beloved IPs like garbage when it comes to farting out a sequel for a quick buck.
What else is new?

It's going to suck. It's going to suck hard. Get used to the idea.
