So there's this: http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/357610/Darth-Vader-to-be-resurrected

ICONIC space villain Darth Vader is to be brought back from the dead for a new trilogy of Star Wars films.
Following news that Disney has bought the rights to the lucrative sci-fi franchise and plans to make at least three more movies, industry insiders say the evil Vader will grace the big screen again.
?He?s an integral part of the franchise. Replacing him is virtually impossible,? explains a film mole.
?The plan is for him to return and play a significant role in the new films.?
I hope this isn't true - and you?

Well, LucasArts already brought Darth Maul back to life, why not Vader?

Though, it could be a) a Clone, b) full android or c) someone completely different taking up Vader's mantle.

I'll need more than just a vague rumor to call judgement.

Hopefully this is just a rumor. If this is true, I have zero hope for these movies and hope the film reels burn. Vader is dead. If this occurs, this will be the new midichlorians.

See, there's the whole problem of his corpse being burnt on a pyre...

Unless it was some sort of elaborate hoax to have the Rebellion let its guard down and have Vader kill the leader

But we'll see how this plays out soon.... Very soon...

No, weren't you paying attention during the movies? It was actually his second cousin that died - Darth Invader. Vader set the whole thing up, though. Also, about a third into episode 4, there is a blink and you'll miss it moment, where Vader kills Chewbacca where he remains undiscovered until the very end. I bet episode 7 would start with him bursting out like a really disturbing chestbuster. With a lightsabre. And magical powers. And robotic powers.

i don't really care. If they want to bring him back, ok whatever they feel necessary.
Star wars films, for me, just popcorn flicks not worth caring about. i will go to see it for pewpewpew and explosions, not really caring who is back, or even if they make Jar Jar Binks a freaking Jedi.

If this proves to be true, my money is on "IT'S A TRAP!" Errr, I mean, "It's a clone."

Shitty tabloid + "industry insider" = Grade A Bullshit

They just want the ad money from people clicking their link.

This x 90001.
Also, we already had a thread "discussing" this exact same thread about a week ago. Rumours are rumours, and until proven to be true, should be marked with a huge -->RUMOURS<-- sign before people start jumping to conclusions.

Force ghost.

Force ghosts had several big roles in some of the story lines pre-dating all the movies.

What if the movies take place in between the new and original trilogy? Vader was still alive then.

Agreed. The one thing The Clone Wars and the video game series gave us is that even though the Rule of Two is in place, the Sith Apprentice is always training tons of Sith potentials and keeping many of them hidden from the Master (then repeatedly getting caught and ordered to kill them). Therefore for me an acceptable plot is one of these potentials finishing their own training becoming the new Sith Lord and having training flashbacks to fill in the historical chain link back to Vader.

I don't really care, as I haven't watched any of the Star Wars since I saw Episode I in theatres when I was, like, five or six.

They say Vader is returning, but not that Anakin is returning. So, that could mean a copycat or something. Like Jigsaw with the Saw franchise.

Besides, it's science fiction. You don't think they can just whip up new lore to back up a resurrection, if such lore isn't already present?

1) Vader is dead. His ghost appeared and everything.

2) He was redeemed before he died. He should not be a villain.

It's either fake, or I'm not watching it. But of course, being a British tabloid, and being such a silly report, I'm inclined to think it's a fake.

Oooh! I know!

He'll be a vampire! Sucking the midichlorians from the blood of lost Jedi to become ever more powerful!

His redemption and burning was only an elaborate hoax, taught to Vader by his secret ninja grandmaster nobody ever saw (being a ninja and all).

And now he's back! And turned to space piracy of all things! Nobody will be safe!

Who could stop this dark robot ninja vampire pirate jedi?

Mark this post. I called it.
