Wow. It was a great deal already, and now an email to say "hey, have another 3 games!"

This is simply fantastic. If you're a PC gamer and don't buy this you're a bad person.

Unless of course you already own them.

If you're not sure about Psychonauts, just ask yourself; Did I enjoy Invader Zim? The answer is yes.
That actually sounds like a good recommendation. I already own most of these games though...

Hmm.

Well, how much is Psychonauts normally? At least 15 bucks. So if you pay 10 for the bundle, you're still saving money.

Plus, you can download the soundtracks and everything too.

Ah. The good ol' days of Invader Zim....

OT: This is a great bundle featuring some of the best indie releases to date!

But you knew that already.

I would challenge that theory. Loved Zim... Loathe Psychonauts. I dont even see the humor being similar, but really, even if it is, the gameplay sucks any sort of fun out of the humor.

I would also challenge the notion that each of these games is worth the average price. I would not buy Braid or Psychonauts for 8 each. I can see Bastion, Amnesia and MAYBE limbo as being definitely worth the average individually. Im on the fence about SMB. Lone survivor even though I am amped to play it I wouldnt buy for 8$ because its only like 4-5 hours of content. Sword and sorcery, just dont know. While I respect that this bundle is indeed awesome, I dont think every one of these would merit 8$ on their own.

Ive already bought 3 of these for 15 a pop for friends and family and while its not quite what I think the bundle deserves, 45$ in one whack for gifts was all I was able to part with.

Still, nobody's making you pay $8 for EACH of these games. You can just pay a little over $8 for the whole deal, save a ton of money, and just have the games. You don't even really need to install them, especially if you activate them on Steam- you can just save them to the Cloud.

well I got it and OMFG Bastion is AWESOME!!! :D

Amnesia was... interesting? I don't like the way your character acts, I understand getting scared but this guy is 100% chicken shit... I've never been in a haunted castle before but I've been in the front lines of the Iraq war so I guess I can sorta relate to what the guy's going through. I hear the game is short though, kinda wish you could play as a chick though, dunno why I always find scary games scarier when you play as a chick; its a psychological thing :(

Super Meatboy, I don't see the appeal, you die a lot doing stupid mistakes. Maybe its an acquired taste or something

Psychonauts is really cool I like the art style and humor, platforming feels a bit dated though, still its closer to the golden days of platforming than anything else available right now

Sword & Sworcery, is more like an art program than a game but its style is interesting in short amounts, my eye sight is not the best in the world anymore so the art style kinda makes it hard for me to see things

Braid is cool and I like the challenge, much better than Portal if you ask me

Bastion... I stayed up until 2am playing it I REALLY like it

there's some more but once I booted Bastion I didn't bother with the rest :) Also I know I'm a cheap ass for only giving $25 but come on its my first indie bundle!

OT: Yeah, I picked this bundle up the day it was released, and don't regret it one bit. Bastion is the one I've decided to play first, and I'm not even halfway through before I agreed with the rest of the world: amazing.

I played Braid for the first time last night as well, talk about mind-fuckery.

All and all, probably the best $8 I ever spent. Bar-none.

Did you get the Xbox Pad patch for Psychonauts? It makes the game work a lot better with gamepads.

Oh I am very well aware, But my post was specifically in response to the value of the games in question. Just like the bundles, many of those games, for whatever reason if I did want, I would simply wait until I could procure a copy at a cost less than the "beat the average" price because personally I do not find the value to be present. But then again, I do find the over all value well worth it. Just not each entry being worth that beat the average price. Thats kinda why I paid over double what the BTA price was when I bought em.

I just joined the PC master race when Diablo 3 released and I haven't played any of these games

Bastion looks intresting I dunno about the rest, I might consider buying them but I'll need to see if any of them are controller compatible, since my PC area is not the most comfortable right now :( everytime I play Diable after 2 hours my back is in so much pain I can't do anytihng the rest of the day
Psychonauts was originally on a console so it's built with a controller in mind, and most the rest can use a controller the only one that I know for certain that doesn't is Superbrothers. This even before the three new games was the best Humble bundle to date with any single game being well worth $10, and the Bastion and Superbrothers soundtracks are great, I can't recommend buying it enough.
