Dawn of War 2 working for anyone currently?

Well since the Dawn of War series went on sale recently(thank you steam) I bought all of them. I got bored with Dawn of War today and figured I would use Dawn of War 2 and jump back and forth but for some reason Dawn of War 2 needs you to log into Games for Windows Live to do anything which while not the reason for this topic is irritating as hell. So I tried to log in and after playing the guessing game on which email or password I used for this a long time ago I finally got it and it told me I couldn't log on due to internet connectivity issues. It's not my internet since I'm doing this now and everything else internet related works so is anyone else having this problem and if anyone knows what's wrong and how to fix it can anyone tell me? Thank you for taking the time to read this and helping if you know how.

Speaking as a DOW 2 player, they have had alot of problems with GFWL in the past and i would not be surprised to learn the problems have returned. I cant acctually check the game right now coz im on my laptop and not my desktop so my advice for now would be wait till tomorrow and see if the problem persists then go post in the DOW 2 tech support ( http://community.dawnofwar2.com/forums/dawn-war-ii/technical-support ).

I am curious though why did you get DOW 2 rather than jumping straight to Retribution ?

Thanks for the advice and I'm curious why you asked why didn't I jump into Retribution instead of playing any of the previous ones. Is there something that makes Retribution far better than Dawn of War 2 or Chaos Rising?

Hells yeah.

Overall theres a lot more stuff, new units, races etc. However Retribution's campaign modes are somewhat inferior, in my opinion.

It doesn't use GFWL, + all the multiplayer has pretty much moved across to it(as it isn't backwards compatable).
