I'mma keep my flying fire spitting space nuns of doom and their reincarnating champion on the tabletop thanks. I don't think that 40K works well as an RTS and the game loses so much, especially now with new rules to let you make your own custom squads and kit bashed models become a reality that much easier.

Personally I thought the buildings in DoW1 were horrendus... the entire base building component seemed to sqaure...

This whole thing is starting to sound an awful lot like World in Conflict. I love that game! This is making me feel like a kid again!

And I can never get enough of these Choir-like songs. It just gets my adrenaline flowing like nothing else!

The graphics aren't a huge improvement in my opinion.

Good, less resource hogging.

It sucks to hear about chaos, and all the other "rejected" races. Obviously this is to test the waters to see if this does good enough to where they can put out expansion after expansion. I doubt they have the budget to do it "all at once".

I've heard about no base building and space marine only campaign (just like the first...which DIDN'T HAVE ANY FUCKING CONTINUATION AND LEFT US WITH THAT CLIFFHANGER!) is kinda lame but I have faith in Relic. No matter what they say I'm pretty much going to be a sheep till the day I buy it.

They'll probably expand on the first DoW1 campaign in 2, and then go the way the first did with Dark Crusade with "Risk" style gameplay.

Unless Relic (or should I say 'Reric' for everyone who knows the pains of the Soulstorm patch wait) has learned the art of game balancing, I fully suspect that out of the box and for patches to come Tyranids will be the OP race. Then followed by Spess Mehrens, Eldar, then Orks.

Below is a close-up of a Warboss, the graphics look a lot better than Dawn of War 1.

Hooray! They have the helmet variations(assault trooper on the right).

I'll just be happy if they get rid of only being able to play as the blood ravens, all i want is some imperial fists, oh and get rid of the necron monolith.

Oh, and anyone know if the gore engine will be better? Or is it too early?

Yeah i'm pretty ticked off about no Chaos either, since that's my favourite race too. But knowing Relic they'll add them later in an expansion. I'd really hate to see Sisters of Battle and Dark Eldar return, those two races were so horribly designed, it almost made me hate that game.

I'm not sure if i agree with the base building thing, but i'm open to new ideas, i mean, Relic is still trying to be innovative and i say power to them!
