So I bought the collector's edition for Skyrim. The big ol' $150, statue of Alduin one. I really like it and feel no buyer's remorse for my purchase. Now I just saw that Bethesda is letting people sign up to try and get into the new expansion's beta.

Does anyone think that the people who bought the collector's edition, especially such an expensive one, should get some kind of automatic entry? Like I said I enjoyed the hell out of my collector's edition and that statue is a centerpiece on my freaking furniture, but I like to think that you should include at least SOME form of in game content with your collector's edition.

Nope. Beta access isn't "in-game content." It's bug testing and reporting, and the way it's being marketed now, treating it like a sneak-peek, is a mistake IMO. I'm sure D3 and GW2 got less useful reports for the way they did it than they might have otherwise (I know more than one person, anecdotally, who bitched about bugs for the entire GW2 beta weekend but didn't report one of them).

Well, that would be rather unprecedented for Bethesda, as they never have done that before in the previous expansions. So, no, if they would have offered that, they would have done it by now.
