It's now been 118:58 hours since I've eaten any food and todays has been rough. I barely had the energy to go to university today. I almost fell asleep in my lectures, now I'm home I've done nothing but lie in bed, occasionally I go to the bathroom where I'm keeping myself very hydrated, drinking only water and a diluted fruit juice. I have very little energy and my stomach growls every 5 minutes. I'm very close to giving in...

Any thoughts other than your opinions of my blatant idiocy would be appreciated.
Nice to see you haven't fainted from exhaustion yet. I still think you're crazy though *^-^
but good luck the last two days will only get worse I'm afraid.

Sorry friend, opinions on your blatant idiocy are all I have for you. How else can people comment, if you don't give us any context? As such, away we go!

You're a Darwin Award in the making? Honestly, that you're half dead and posting here is your first impulse is amusing.

Of course, I am assuming you're not poor or whatever else, but a lack of context is useless.

I don't know. Go for it champ. Reach for the stars, if you have the energy.
Curiosity and testing the limit of my body is my main motivation for fasting. I am not poor you are correct.
And thank you, I will definitely stop as of sunday evening at 9:30.
I may stop sooner, my heart being a muscle means it is straining or will be strained as a result of this. One week seems like a completely obtainable goal without causing serious health issues and I've always been a healthy person. I've lost almost a stone in weight but I'm still about half a stone away from being underweight according to my BMI.

Well I would say get a safer hobby (like stalking undercover cops) but if you pass out I am going to steal your wallet.

I think you just focus on purging all junk food from your diet, it is much harder than not eating. I NEED that SODA.

I'll be honest, I think that starving yourself out of boredom is one of the stupidest idea's I've heard of. If you don't have a choice, fine, if you're fasting for religion or charity, fine, but malnourishing yourself for sheer boredom and attention is.. Stupid. What, going out and buying a new video game or going bowling with mates not fun? Cause I'd rather be bored than half starved..

Urgh. Sorry if I offend, its just I have enough trouble getting my girlfriend to eat (When she is definitely not fat and absolutely the right shape she should be) And seeing someone just do it for fun is.. Aggravating.

You've fasted enough. God says he forgives you for whatever you did, and he admires your dedication to the cause. Now go buy a cheeseburger, STAT.

Disclaimer: Dammit Jim, I'm a corpse, not a doctor.

When you do decide to go back to food, do it gradually. Soup broth, or soup with noodles is probably your first best bet. Give it some time after that before you work your way back up to real food.

I will, I'm so tempted because I have soup in my under-bed storage in my room... Probably best no to think about it right now.

On a side note: Yay for 100th post!

Curiosity killed the cat mate, you have nothing to prove to us and you're running the risk of causing some permanent health problems.

My advice would be to eat something RIGHT NOW then perhaps start again if you truly want to once you have free time on your hands (your in uni, gotta keep the energy up to keep the grades up) only after you've seen a doctor and found a legitimate reason to fast.

Doing this is incredibly dangerous, I simply cannot stress that enough. When Mohandas K Gandhi fasted it was to end extreme violence or suffering, doing it to "test yourself" or for "curiosity" is a pretty silly reason to damage your kidneys, metabolism and heart just to name a few.

Edit: Hate to be a jerk but you MUST stop, therefore:

mmm

not eating and then eating will cause fast weight gain, limiting yourself of food can cause death or srious permanent issues- try rock climbing if you want to test your limits not near suicide

Thank you most kindly sir, for clearing that up for all of us. I think I speak for the entire board when I say, we are now better equipped to answer any questions you may weakly pose.

Be sure that proper substance is within crawling distance. Just in case.

Bravo. I'm impressed. You've already beaten me after you got past day 1. But if it's truly causing you that much pain/discomfort, eat. I mean 4 days without food! Just pat yourself on the back and get a nice, juicy steak...wrapped in bacon.

I must admit this is interesting. As long as you know how to take care of things afterwards, and don't put yourself in harm's way, I say keep going. By tomorrow, you will have outlasted me (yes, I did something similar, but for budget reasons), and besides all that, I remember there are people who get paid for doing stupider shit than this.

Civ 5 much? OT: Pleeeeaaaaase just eat something, the risk of starving to death is not worth whatever you're trying to prove.EDIT: And if I knew how to I would put a picture here to get you to eat.

None of the pictures have made me want to eat yet. I mean that is no more so than the initial want I have to eat.
