Ever had one of those days when you just really need a drink? I'm talking about alcohol.

I think my day when I needed a drink was today after my stupid chemistry test. Now I'm in college, so I'm not advocating underaged drinking, but man, I could have used a shot or six after today.

After what probably added to be be an actual span of 20 hours of studying of the last 3 days, I think I failed the test. I looked blankly at the paper before saying "fuck".

I felt as if all my hard work had been in vein and I felt as if I just needed a drink to help calm me down.

You guys ever had days like that?
Darlin', it only gets harder and all forms of alcohol only start tasting better.

Baileys, Sambuca Or skittles vodka.

All good fun.

OR if im out, I drink Magners or Bulmers...Or woodpecker if im having a curry.
What always makes me laugh about skittles Vodka...is I always see people get a few lovely bags of skittles, then they get a bottle of tesco value paint thinner for about three quid. It almost invalidates the damn point of the skittles being in the bottle!

I was filming a chase scene one night, and practically everything went wrong that night. Equipment broke, one guy nearly injured himself, and an actor who my crew mate stressed would be a sure thing and always available, didn't turn up because he was coming down from pills from the night before...sigh.

Tequila?

Tequila?

We took about 6 bottles (all the colors, I cant remember how many colors there are)to leeds fest '09 and i forgot it was straight vodka with flavouring.

I was necking back the Green one (which only i liked), Then after about the equvilent of 2 doubles im handed a triple of Tequila in a tumbler. Ive never had tequila & never will again. Necked, No salt or lime, Just tequila. To take the taste away i take a massive swig of skittles vodka...

I dont drink usually. I was VERY drunk.

I miss leeds fest.

Everyday of my life. Unfortunetly I'm not 21 yet and my parents don't keep any booze in the house so I pretty much just have to be miserable AND sober.

Shit, I don't drink, but if I did, I could definitely think of a few times I would have.

Why would you not advocate underage drinking? The european model has the right of it, not the ridiculous U.S model.

Anyhow, frequently I'll finish a 9-10 hour work shift without a break, and reach straight for a beer. I can't think of anything better to do when hot, sweaty, tired yet wired.

And then there are the times where nothing is happening because friends/girlfriend have other plans, so I start drinking a little wine before posting a rant somewhere on the internet out of complete and utter boredom.

Today! A game I looked forward too has been BANNED in my country!

I don't usually say things like this, but Michael Atkinson can suck me.

Well after learning what I had said drunk on my 21st birthday I decided that another night of binge drinking would be required to fix that problem. Didnt happen and I had one shitty day

Weekdays... Because I first have college really early which includes tests and major assignments, then work which includes a really aggravating supervisor and then free time in which I have to spend at home listening to how people's days went followed by arguments about how my life apparently doesn't suck as much as theirs leaving me with a headache and a really short temper...

... If I don't get a drink after that then tomorrow morning you'll find someone's face 2 inches further into their head.

Yup. But when I have days like that I tend to stay away from drinking. Drinking because you feel the "need" to is one step on the road towards becoming an alcoholic.

Just drinking in pleasant company or to party or because it's a nice and sunny afternoon and a glass of whisky would be swell are one thing. But drowning your sorrow or despair in alcohol pretty much always turn out sour.

I remember one time when I was younger and felt a bit depressed over my then relationship with my ex-girlfriend and my buddy wanted me to go out clubbing that same evening. I just thought: "what the hell, why not? At least it'll take my mind off of brooding over my girlfriend."

That was a big mistake, which resulted in me getting completely shit-faced, making a complete ass of myself during pretty much the entire evening and even getting into a fight at the end of it (which I had completely blacked out the day after and the only reminder was me having a black eye). That was quite embarassing to say the least.

So if you're feeling low, my fellow escapists. Don't go out drinking. It won't take your mind off of whatever you're feeling low about, it will just make it worse and more likely just make you incapable of handling your despair or sorrow and result in some pretty embarassing behaviour.

Only drink when you're already feeling happy.
