I played the beta on the PS3 and PC, I got at least 1 char to level 20 on both systems during the beta.
Its an OK MMO, but might not have alot of holding power just now and I really think its best played on a console.. a PC with a controller does OK but it just feels more fit on the PS3. Its very spammy/clicky. There is no real auto attack, you just mash the buttons to do your powers until things die. This is why a controller is almost needed.
Controls and gameplay remind me an awful lot of Ultimate Alliance 2 - especially in how you use the controller.. L2 plus the 4 buttons are the first 4 hotkeys and R2 and the 4 buttons are the last 4 hotkeys.
I really didnt like the travel powers at all.. I loved how City of Heroes did travel powers, this tries to mimic it but I found the controls real wonky. Even with a mouse they didnt feel fluid enough for me to truly enjoy. With the Super Speed travel power i would end up running all over walls and ceilings just trying to get close to an NPC to talk to them.
I think it might find a niche crowd and do well for Sony.. its has a nice cutscenes and quest interactions with the Super Heroes/people... and they have loads of content/npcs to use.
I would give this a 6-7 out of 10.. where WoW I would give an 8, EQ2 a 9 and LOTRO a 7... just so you can get an idea of what I like for some possible guidance.
