Consistently entertaining? Possibly. Granted, there have been a few episodes that I thought were just flat-out hilarious (The Final Days of the Man Responsible for SecuROM, Team Fortress 2, etc) but many times the humor comes off as being kind of dry. Sometimes like it's forced. That's just my opinion, though. I sure as hell don't hate it, but on the other hand it isn't The Escapist's best series. I'm perfectly content to just say it has it's shining moments.

Not exactly pointless, it was only funny once in a blue moon. So why would people watch it?

Because something doesn't have to be funny to be enjoyable.

And unless "people" suddenly refers to you and only you, don't apply your tastes onto others good sir.
