That's great, but maybe they could fix the bug that has prevented me from getting into the Dead money start area on the 360 first...
fixedLtFerret said:Just a warning to PC/PS3 users, Dead Money is very tedious and frustrating. Expect disapointment if you're your looking for more then some decent loot and and a higher level cap and some of the best written short stories ever in gaming. Not to mention maturly and intelligent developed charachters.
Considering all the much deserved crap Bethesda got from fans for using Games for Windows Live to distribute the Fallout 3 DLCs, I think it's a safe bet.binvjoh said:Guessing the PC version of it will be available through Steam?
Hope so, at least.

Also: Did you know that 'Wolfhorn Ranch' location is called 'Ulysseys' camp' in the European versions. Ulysseys is the courier who appears on the spec. ed. cards with a flag pole as a weapon and a leather jacket with 'the old world' (AMerican) flag on the back.
Yeah, I'm a fallout nerd.
OP: Cool. I have a 360, but I see no reason why they should be exclusive at first. But please Obsidian, no more ultra-mega-game breaking loot al-a Operation Anchorage.
Sort of. The Holorifle is a great gun, but it isn't nearly as game breaking as OA for several reasons.Silver Patriot said:To late:MrDeckard said:He was also slated to be another companion with his own story before he was cut.MrJKapowey said:I'm looking forewards to Honest Hearts (apparently linked to the Burned man/Joshua Graham/ex-Legate Graham and/or New Canaan) and Old World Blues (Probably linked to 'The Big Empty'). Meet the Holorifle [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Holorifle]. With the Holorifle focus optics mod it does over 100 DAM per shot. With a Max Charge MF Cell it can do 159 DAM per shot. It gets 4 shots per reload and uses only ONE Microfusion Cell per shot. Compare to the Gauss Rifle which does 120 DAM per shot and uses FIVE MF Cells.
While it is certainly not recommended it is possible to play though Dead Money almost straight out of Goodsprings. My friend has done it several times. Yes the Holorifle breaks quickly, if you don't have the Holorifle reinf. components which give the Holorifle a 50% Health bonus. Also while it cannot be repaired by any other weapon in the game you can use weapon repair kits. Which are EASILY available if you play your cards right (Ha) at the Sierra Madre.MrDeckard said:Sort of. First and foremost, Anchorage can be done with ease as soon as you leave the vault, where as Dead Money is a high level at best. Furthermore, DM is MUCH longer than OA. Also, at the end of AO you get nearly the best armor in the game AND the ability to use it, along with the perfect invisibility suit. In addition, the Holorifle breaks fairly quick and can't be repaired except by vendors, while the Winterized t-51b NEVER breaks.
Good to know that it can be done early. I will have to try.Silver Patriot said:While it is certainly not recommended it is possible to play though Dead Money almost straight out of Goodsprings. To Explain there are four sources of income at the Sierra Madre.
1. Selling loot. Gather up as much loot as you can carry, find the nearest vendor, (preferably indoors) and sell it all for Pre War Money. They exchange it for SM Chips.
2. Sierra Madre Snowglobe. 2000 SM Chips (Using PW Money exchange rates 20,000 caps)
3. Gambling. Break the bank and you walk away with 10,000 SM Chips and a free complementary voucher that will let give you 1000 SM Chips every three in game days forever. As long as you have the Vending Machine Code Weapon Repair Kits are not a problem.
4. Gold Bars. No, you don't have to glitch to get them out. I walked out past the Elder. You just need to be sneaky about it.
Is it as bad as OA? No I have to agree with you there. However if you played smart you could walk out of there with a Powerful Weapon, some of the best light armor in the game. (The reinforced SM Armor [http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Sierra_Madre_armor,_reinforced]) and a massive amount of funds to use how you want to.
