I spent the day in the local coffee shop drinking piping hot coffee. Perhaps that sounds strange until you realize that this place is air conditioned to sub-arctic temperatures at all times. This is my usual strategy for hot conditions.

If you have trouble sleeping due to the heat, try sleeping on the floor. Warm air rises; the higher up you are, the warmer you'll be. Maybe put a blanket down first for comfort.

Also, hot weather is a great excuse for Pimms and lemonade :)

I just flop my willy out and lay in the garden. Too hot to move.

I did have to get on the bus today which was chock-full of (old, stinky) people which was a real joy though. Nothing quite like sweating your balls off standing up whilst 50 people (wasn't even a fucking double-decked bus) stare at you.

Run for cover in air-conditioned stores I guess. I'm lucky enough to have a pool in my backyard, air conditioning, fans, and drinkable tap water. I absolutely can't stand heat and was probably the only person in Canada this year who didn't mind the snow and cold at all. I find just staying indoors helps. Taking brief showers regularly is a good idea too. Other than that, god help us when the ozone layer collapses.

In Texas when it is over 100 degrees - I jump on my bike for an hour. Or do some yard work.

You will get used to it.

I used to just sleep till the night came, then I would take a cold shower and repeat. Now I have an air conditioner, so I'm very comfortable in my room.

I'm in the UK and we pay for tap water on a yearly rate. It seems really awful to me that some water companies charge by useage. It's only the SECOND MOST IMPORTANT THING FOR US TO SURVIVE. It's awful that you feel you need to sacrifice your health because of cost. :/

Hmm, It never gets really hot where I live. But hey, Cellars are always nice and cold. That's one way to cool down.

I live in the UK and I have unlimited drinking water for no extra cost...

So yeah, I pretty much deal with heat by drinking lots of water, or pouring water over myself if it's really bad.

The only issues arise when I'm away from home, in which case I just ignore it. That's the manly thing to do.
(Also there's just nothing else that can be done about it.)
