So I'm like 21 now or something, can't really remember, and I still have to deal with pimples. This is very annoying and I would like very much for it to cease. Does anyone here in the world of the Escapist have a suggestion? Whether it be tried-n-true, or just an idea that your not sure will work but are almost positive that if you did it it would clear up your face. Send all possible ideas.
Yes, I have tried Neutrogena or whatever that crap is, along with almost every pimple-solution cream. Lets just say this, it works for about a week before pimples return, regardless if you continue to wash with it. So seriously, any suggestions?

well I heard duck tap can help remove black heads and pimples when they appear but then again not a reliable source.

I have never had a serious problem, got a good few back when puberty was really in full gear but that's about it. Tea Tree oil is great, my mam bought me like a big bottle of it from The Body Shop or Boots or something and it was great. I find stuff like changing your pillow cases and just drinking water alot helps. As does splashing water on your face everytime your near a sink. I have been REALLY fortunate with spots considering my diet.

When you take a shower, take some soap and use it to wash your face. Do this every night and you should see a nice reduction. Also, avoid touching your face with your hands regularly.

I've been almost completely pimple free for all my life, but it seems my family is lucky that way. Either way, washing the face should help a lot.

Just be VERY careful about when you touch your face, and wash it every day.

That's about all I can offer, never had to deal with pimples. :S

Good luck.

Exfoliate!

Know your pain, 22 and still getting spots. But Face scrub things do seem to help, I get noticably fewer when using them.

Also, eat more veg.

My HS gym teacher taught me this years ago:
First, wash your face with very warm/kinda hot water, this opens up your pores...
The, lather up some soap and wash your face. Rinse with warm water.
After you get all of the soap off, wash again with cold water, this closes the pores.

Got me through my H.S. years!

Also, don't pop em, I know it's hard to resist, but it leaves hella pockmarks. I had to learn that the hard way..

Dude, I'm like 39 or something, and I still get them. Not massive amounts, but currently it looks like I have a couple of devil's horns sprouting on my forehead! I get heaps on my shoulders still.

I don't worry about them, but you can probably find some medications if it's a worry for you. But know that you'll get them forever, probably not as bad, but you will still get them little bastards!

I had them on my face and back pretty bad when I was 17-18. So I took Accutane for around six months and I haven't had any since. The only side-effect I suffered was dry lips, but I've heard from friends that I got off lucky. I guess the side effects differ pretty strongly from person to person... aside from that, all I do to keep them away is wash my face with warm then cold water, and exfoliate.

Toothpaste on a pimple will dry it out, not sure how long you have to keep it on, maybe about 5-10 min? WARNING it drys your skin out dont use too much.

if you have long hair cut it, if you eat fat or greasy food, stop it (example: no chocolate, no french fries, minemize butter consumption) and if you spend a lot of time inside fresh air can help.
Has always worked for me!
Thats funny, I have long hair, I work in mcdonalds and eat fast greasy food almost exclusively, and spend almost all my time indoors and I am pimple free! Well my face at least My fecking shoulders are another story.

I get less acne when I shave less, cutting it too fine will expose your follicles or some shit, I don't know. Basically, grow a man beard, or use an electric razor. Oh, and I use dermalogica the odd time, It's strong, but it's pretty much the only thing that's ever helped my skin. Ever.

I have serious acne. I found swimming in a public pool helped a lot. The chlorine clears your face really well in just 1 swim
