So, Escapists, i have a 12 year old brother who is a MASSIVE prick.
I mean, he is an arsehole.
Constant screaming at COD, very aggressive (made worse by the fact that he is incredibly strong for a 12 year old) and he just doesn't give a shit about anybody else.

So escapists, how do you deal with annoying siblings?
(that if, if you have any)

Punch him in the face, tell him no one loves him and that he was an accident...<.<

Luckily for me my younger siblings (all step siblings from hell) are not living with my parents, otherwise i would be in your predicament times 5. Personally, i have a stepbrother who's 16, and if he acts like an idiot i call him out on it, and tell him to quit being a little prick. Usually it'll make him think about how stupid he's acting. Sometimes i have to go upside his head to get his attention, though. >.>

Get some nice headphones and try to avoid him as much as possible. Find excuses to not go on family outings and that shit. That's what I did with my absolute douchenozzle of a brother until he left for college (and for a while it looked like he wasn't going to be accepted anywhere, which would've meant him living at home longer and me hanging myself).

I was once that big of a twit. I've grown out of it. And as the youngest sibling, the best way to deal with it is to tell the parents and waiting. Nothing straightened me out better than maturing.

It's not much comfort for you right now, but let me tell you, looking back at all the stupid shit I've done as a little kid is punishment enough because I remember how much of a shit I was and the guilt is pretty bad.

Also, when I was twelve, I was in sixth grade. Middle school has done wonders for my maturity. By the time he's my age (incoming freshman to high school) he'll be straightened out.

Edit: If you need relief now and you don't give a shit about the consequences, hit him. It worked on me. Plus, if he has some deep down respect for you the way I respected my sisters, he won't mention it to the parents.

Somehow find a way on teach him some manners (don't ask me how) and I guess try to find the root of his jerkness problem.

just avoid as much as possible. My little brother is 3 years younger than me. I spend most of my time in my bedroom gaming or watching a movie when I'm not fighting with him over whether I can use the net for job searching or not....

Lock him in the closet and say Narnia's in there, you just gotta keep looking. Then slip some knock out gas under the slit in the door. Then when your parents get back, say Little Timmy had an adventure in the closet.

I'm joking.

You punch him in the liver every time he stands up too you. If he resists you throw him too the ground and put him in a lock, until he submits. They need to learn consequence, respect and their place in the food chain.

Well, if he's starting to go through the teenage stage and hormones are already kicking in then it's probably better to get it over sooner than later.

Otherwise, i assume your the older brother OP, you have the power, stamp down your authority when you need to. Be prepared to fight some battles, and be careful to never be the one to strike first.

Punch his bicep, or get him on his front ad dig your fingers under his shoulder blades. Trust me, he'll squirm.

As a younger sibling myself, I'll just tell you that you shouldn't really pay attention to him unless he gets out of control and starts messing up with you or your parents.
I don't recommend violence because first, it doesn't solve anything and you'd just make it worse for the two of you. Second, don't underestimate your brother's streght, my brother was way bigger but I was more violent, that plus my brother never got into a fight in high school while I got into fights every year.
Also, do you mess with him? because my older brother which is 3 years older than me was a pain in the ass, constantly insulting me and calling me out names, which for a 8-13 year old it's really annyoing. The most annyoing thing I did to him was to ask him to play with me like we did before he started watching shows like The Nanny and Friends.

Anyway, everybody grows up (or tries to) in the end, so just wait a few more years and you two can laugh at what silly things you did when you were younger (Like me recalling my brother calling me a huge ****** whenever I see him with his boyfriend).

Step 1: Buy some cloroform. Get Rope or cut off ties from your garbage bags, if you're feeling cheap.
Step 2: Arrange a meet up with your local friendly black market organ dealers.
Step 3: ????
Step 4: Fill your bath tub with ice. Remember to sterilize your surgical instraments and your hands. Don't want to cacth germs from the little COD Snob.
Step 5: Acid. Plastic bins. Watch Breaking Bad for instructions on what to do.
Step 6: PROFIT!!!!

That's my advice for success. Take it or leave it.

My younger brother was once that kid. Though now that's he a bit older he's much more tolerable and a bit more mature (though only to an extent). If he throws a tantrum and just starts to be a complete prick I recommend just ignoring them for a bit until they calm down, they pretty much feed off your attention at that state. Just remember that 12-15 are the worst years since they're pretty much that narcissistic kid who is inclined to argue about the most trivial of things.
