If L4D2 was off by 75% I'd buy it. I kinda want it, but still cheaper. It just doesn't seem that great (played a free weekend a while ago). Maybe over christmas...
Dude.. it's less expensive then lunch. Under $7 is too much for a main title video game? I thought this game is a steal at that price. Sure its not the greaest game of all..its repetative, one trick pony etc etc.. but come on..7 bucks?!?.

Gold edition available for $8.75. The description calls it critically acclaimed, but I've never heard of this game.

I almost don't want to post this one because it just SCREAMS bad bad BAD!!! to me. From the title of the game to the piss-poor trailer they have on the Steam site. Hell, all they showed was a lot of screenshots receiving some odd interference and calling it a trailer. The Metascore is at a whopping 64%, which is about double I'd give it from the vibe it's putting off.

I could be completely wrong and this could be your favorite shooter ever though, so ignore me, because my fleeting opinions aren't really valid until I've played it.

Oh damn I missed that one. Thanks. I'M tempted to get it, and I haven't felt much interest in getting the telltale games until they are done releasing them. Something to do with wanting the most for my money and not being interrupted by a quick ending. Dunno, I'm finicky about what games I get if I can come up with some stupid reason.

OBJECTION! [http://objection.mrdictionary.net/go.php?n=4398336]

I've bought the game due to it's current £5 price tag and Hutch's review and I have to say, it's actually pretty good for the price you pay.

It's essentially Call of Duty but in the mid-future and it does it rather well.

Just on the side, I love the fact that you keep adding these since I don't always get around to checking Steam for offers but I do log on to the Escapist so keep up the good work and that game is actually somewhat good. The 64% thing doesn't do it justice since it's an indie game on sale for a fiver.

Well that's good to hear. I ended up watching the trailer another 6 or so times because of the MST3K quality it took on to me. I was just picturing the team recording the demo and the techie guy kept messing with the video cables to cause the static and video distortions, thus ruining their demo recording.

So if we have a thumbs up from you, I guess I'd give it a tentative thumbs up as well, because the vibe I was getting said no one would enjoy this. I guess these devs just need some better marketing people. That's the sad thing about gaming is that no screenshot or video demo can accurately summarize how a game is going to feel in the hands of a player. I'm sure there are a lot of great games out there that have been ignored because no one bothered to look at them because of bad marketing. Hell, I'm in the middle of a great unknown title on the DS, and even though the presentation of it also screams "low quality," I'm having a blast with it.

I bought it on sale as well after hearing some reviews and can't say I share the feeling. It's got a massive hard-on for not telling you how anything works - assuming that you know that when you press 3 or 4 that you want to throw a grenade rather than hold it, ala CSS (I made this assumption and blew up for it, sorry for not being psychic, B:TD) and it's got horrible video options. All you can do is adjust brightness and resolution and a shader of some sort. You know, the kind of thing that says "I'm a shitty console port. Adjusting model or texture quality? Shadows and particle effects? Fuck that shit, just change resolution bro."

Oh, and it uses GFWL. Because when I play on PC, I totally want to have the Xbox Live experience.

Granted, I need to play it more but my initial impressions are less than rosy.

I usually preorder them off their site, but yeah I often don't end up playing until all parts are released just because I hate waiting. It's definitely worth the purcahse for such a cheap price. Although I've only completed the first two so far I enjoyed those 2 a lot.

Doesn't look too bad, and it's got a decent metascore (84). It's a fantasy based TBS. Both pieces of the Gold pack are available for $3.50.

$20

Much lower Metascore on this one (56), and according to some youtube comments, they didn't like it much over the second one.

Games I've bought for under £7 on Steam:

The entire DOOM series (yes, every single Doom game ever, all for about £6 or something)
BioShock
Counter Strike: Source
Garry's Mod
Left 4 Dead 2
Splinter Cell
TES4: Oblivion GOTY Edition

Valve, I'm prepared to forgive almost anything you do as long as you keep these deals up.

Yeah, if you look at the first time I posted the Batman sale, I semi-raged on that as well. I might stoop low enough to buy it and deal with the DRM if it reaches $5. I might even rise up to $7.50 if I'm in a good mood, but that would be absolute tops. I still see $7.50 as a good price for any triple A title, even with such glaring flaws.

Another grade-A game that you'd be hard pressed to find a better use of $5. If you like Diablo, you'll like this. Just don't waste your time running the original TQ.exe like several of my friends did. Run the expansion because it is the original game, the expansion AND adds new content/features to the original game.

Damn, that's a deal. I love Guerilla. I respect that it's nothing special, but as a physics engine to dick around in it's a blast.

If this game is half as good as some people have been saying, then $13 sounds like a pretty fair price.
