Why not remove that trap altogether?
It seems silly to allow people to search for old threads, but then punish them for doing so.
Either allow necros, or lock all old threads so they can't be necroed.
Both, simple and easy solutions.

I want you to answer me honestly when I ask this: If you were to do what you say here, and you got an automatic warning for your first post on that forum, what would your first impression of that forum be like?
Personally, for me, it wouldn't be a
