Life can be pretty harsh at times, and while I had nowhere near as bad a situation as you, I spent 11 years of my life living with an emotionally and physically abusive stepmother.
All I can say is this, If you want to be great be great, tell the world it fucking owes you and show it what you can do.
I didn't have the best childhood but now I've a fantastically fulfilling (and well paying) job, a beautiful girlfriend of 5 years and some really solid friends. All it took was balls to go out there and get it.
I'm not going to try and salvage today, you seem to have made you piece with it. But you only get one shot at life, no 1ups, no continues, so make it as great as you can. And don't take shit from anyone, do what you want and be who you want to be.

After posting this last night, I promptly went and got smashed. I assumed it'd get either 3 trolls posting on it before it got buried or a whole thread of people telling me to grow a backbone, so I figured alcohol would make me feel less poorly disposed towards them. Instead, I come back to this. Holy crap.
Okay, I don't want to make such a big deal out of this or it'll look like I was whoring for attention in the first place. It cheered me the fuck up, though.
I think I saw a few people who said something about wanting to help, and they're very welcome to send me a message (for that or any other reason). I don't do much these days, so I'll be around to answer it.
Thanks to everyone who offered well wishes and everything else. It made my day. It'll probably make more than my day, because I'll come back to this when I'm feeling bad again. You lot are amazing.

...The only bad part is that winter comes soon after, and winter up here in Canada (Montreal, Quebec, specifically) lasts half the freakin year and is cold as...well, I'm sur eyou can imagine. >_<
Agreed. I love fall, it's my favourite season (with summer following right after). It's just about the right temperature, the trees look all nice, and the wasps are almost nonexistant.ScrubberDucky said:
