I felt it took too long to get into the song but overall I didn't mind it. I'm not normally an Indie fan but its not the worst I've heard.

For the record, the long intro on the song I posted isn't played live. They played a MUCH shorter intro, then continued as normal.

Based on the video and everything else I've previously encountered, I feel I am now informed enough to say that I hate them.

I like 'em. Have a cd or two. I don't think I can ever forgive them for screwing up the lyrics in their cover of This Charming Man though. It's 'gruesome', not 'crucial' guys! Figure it out!

Just a side note, what does "Death Cab for Cutie" even mean?
Dude. What does any band name mean?
It's like they took a great spinning wheel with names on random places and threw darts at it, and used whatever stuck.
And thus my new band name Monkey Balloons for Science was born.

They irritate me beyond all reason! For one simple reason, "Death Cab for Cutie!" is a song by the Bonzo Dog Doh Dah Band one of the greatest bands of the sixties! The linking of mediocre emo tripe gauls me hugely!

And heres the proof!

Enjoy!

Oh and they arent actually serious!

I really like Death Cab but I think that I Will Possess Your Heart was a bad choice for a single. I find it repetitive and annoying, not very representative of their music.

Just my personal favorite. Their songs aren't all like this one.

Death Cab for Cutie's one of those bands audiophiles and music critics really seem to like it, and I'm not any different. I think the band is a genuine breakout from the indie scene, but they remain true to their intelligent songwriting roots. Transatlanticism was one of their strongest albums in terms of depth and variety, but Narrow Stairs has definitely produced some great singles.

Well it was all going great right up until he sang, then they went from good acoustic band to middle of the road indie shit spreaders.
Ouch. That was rather harsh, don't you think?
Here's a question for you then: What makes music good?
Wasn't that Harsh hehe, this kind of music is everywhere safe middle of the road bland music with no soul or no risks, what makes good music, simple good musicians, and these guys were fine up until he sang then they just became generic and tired, most genres are now.

People listening to different types of music is a great thing, but the moment something gets popular we are then flooded with samey sounding bands, look at the UK charts, people like Coldplay hit it off a few years back and we are still wading through the likes of Keane, and other such pathetic mewing middle of the road tripe.

Not saying lets all ignore popular music, hell some pop tunes get stuck in my head.

Admittedly, that song of theirs isn't the best, in my opinion. They've been around for quite a while now, so their not exactly one of those "Ooh, let's jump on the bandwagon" sort of bands.

Styrofoam Plates [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EHLeKItghB4] and What Sarah Said [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F5W3RhkI2SU] are two of my favourites. I like a lot of their earlier music above their latest album, although that does have a few good songs.

Perhaps it's a tribute, as the Bonzo Dog Doo Dah band simply don't exist. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SbLDI5lNdRQ]
