Can you remember that day where you were so pumped to get up to a little bit of gaming after a long day at work or school???
i know i was on that faithful day 24/6/08 thats when i had to send my xbox away to microsoft where they fixed my little baby and sent it back to me, but for those 2 weeks i was starting to think that i was going insane, thought suicide was a viable option....thankfully i held out using a friends xbox whenever i could.

I would like to know your story?

My 360 red ringed after I started playing the Wii and some old PC games more than her.

Maria is a fiery and passionate lover Xbox but gets incredible jealous when I spend more time with other gaming platforms.

No man can tame her, we play on her terms.

My xbox died, I shipped it in. Got it back. It died. I shipped it in.
Repeat this process infinitely.

ROFL that was by far the funniest thing i have heard in a very long time, and tell maria not to worry the wii's got nothing on her :)

I worked at a game store, so naturally I had mine preordered and got one of the first batch. 3 months later, dead. So I swapped it out for a working, sent that one back as defective. Store 6 months later (after I'd found higher paying employment elsewhere) that one died too. No problem, had friends at a game store I used to fill in for. Swapped that one out. 1 year later? Dead. My latest one, which was the first I actually sent back to microsoft has been working for a while now.

Oh, I also bought my little brother one for his birthday last year. It died two months ago and he had to send it off.

To the PS3 fanboys. I have a PS3 that's never broken down too. My 360 is still a better system because it has better games.

It was a quiet Sunday. I had been playing a long game of Horde in GoW2, and when I was done I turned off my 360, then I changed my mind and turned it back on to play some Rock Band. But instead of the normal Xbox 360 intro I was confronted with a black screen and white letters about some hardware failure. Tried turning the 360 off and back on, letting it 'rest' for a while, unplugging and reconnecting the cables and harddrive, tried again the next day, but no... it was gone. No more 360 gaming for me, not even a minute. I remember that day well. But it's ok, it's in the past now, Microsoft gave me a new 360 free of charge. But sometimes, when I turn on my 360, I still worry that I will see red lights instead of green...

Was happily playing GH3 on my 360, on a fantastic quality Digital Projector (screen about 10ft big), when it suddenly froze, made a loud crunching sound then stopped.

I later found out that not only had my 360 broken it had also left an incredibly deep gouge into my GH3 disc. Microsoft repaired my console but left me to fork out the 70 bucks (AU) to buy the game again.

Very angry

My first Xbox was second hand. During the summer leading up to my birthday I whored Oblivion out for like 8 hours a day for 2 weeks. On the Sunday before my birthday I turned my Xbox on like normal and laid on my bed waiting for the screen to come on, nothing. I got up to look at it wondering why it wasnt working and got the lights. I smiled for some reason, then nearly cried.

And got my ex bf to buy me a new one for my birthday :)

I was all psyched to complete Oblivion, and turned the Xbox on, only to be greeted by RROD. I tried the towel fix but it wouldn't work, and I couldn't send it away as it was a demo model like the ones used in game stores. I ended up getting an Elite the following weekend, and got Bioshock at the same time. That's when I started using only 360 to play games on.

This is pretty much how it happened:

"Time to check Bungie.net, as usual. Hmm...what's this? The Heroic Map Pack is free? Sweet! Let me just hook up my Ethernet cable to the 360, turn it on, and...crap..."

At least it only took a week and a half to get a new one.

My 360 red ringed, sent it off to Microsoft. 2 weeks later I received that fateful package in the mail, only to have the drive stop reading discs two days later. I sent it off again, got a brand new 360 3 weeks later, and just had my power brick die on me a week and a half ago.

I was $40 away from getting the Halo Wars LCE. I did some house-sitting for the local golf club, and they gave me a check for $60. We went to my aunt's house, and they asked me to set up the 360 to watch some movies off of my external. As soon as I started it up, it gave me E 71. I've tried dang near everything to get it working again, but no luck. Worst of all, it's past warranty.

My 360 died for the first time in march 2007, even worse I had just bought a nice little hdtv which I had been saving for for months, and to top it all off it was three days before my birth day. It made me a very sad panda.

I know what you mean. My motherboard just burned. I have to go shopping Sunday.

Add that I hooked my Xbox to my lappy so I didn't have to buy that damn $100 wireless connector. So no Xbox live :(
