Aha! Thanks for the notice Cosmic!

Name: Jack Philby

Gender: Male

Date Of Birth: 4th May 1986

Appearance: Standing at around 6ft with dark blonde hair and green eyes, Jack is broad shouldered with well-developed muscles and a friendly grin.

Personality: Jack is usually courteous and polite to everyday people and is kind to his friends, although whenever he hears praise of the Union or the Party, a dark look momentarily flashes across his face

Home Town/Nation: London, People's Republic of England

Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: When he was young, all Jack remembered of the time before Communism was rationing, disease and vicious street fights between the various militias vying for control of the country. Since the day Soviet paratroopers summarily executed his father 'for the greater good of the revolution', Jack has hated the system and the cold, petty apparatchiks who administrate it.

Reason(s) for being displaced: Jack is a trained and highly skilled mechanic - it was decided that his skills would be better spent being utilised in the Leningrad industrial districts both servicing vehicles and training new workers. Also, the KGB suspected him of collaborating with underground ICA members in London - his skills saved him from 'disappearing' and his new position means easy monitoring for the authorities.

Notable Abilities: Very skilled mechanic and has some skill with computers and maintaing robotics (namely industrial robots). Is very physically strong as a by-product of a life spent working with heavy machinery.

Short Biography: Jack was just six when Communist militias began their campaign in urban Britain: a wave of violence swept the country as the bulk of Britain's armed forces were combating the Soviet military. Soon the Brtiish forces were overcome and Soviet troops began the occupation of London - Jack's father took offence when the new authorities demanded to enter the family home and strip it of items deemed 'bourgiousie' in an effort to establish 'equality' and was shot in the street by a Soviet Commissar in front of his son and wife. Since that day Jack hated the USSR and all it stood for.

After his mother fuelled his anger at the regime and taught him about alternative systems (conveniently left out of the state-approved curriculum), Jack began to make attempts to contact the ICA. Aged 17 and beginning his training as a mechanic, he was successful and began to work as an informer, giving identities of 'People's Constable's' to his new comrades, leading to many bloody reprisals on Soviet collaborators.

Jack had hoped to join the ICA as a full-fledged member, but the cell he was aiding had only limited resources. Thus he remained in society, being assigned to a tractor factory upon completing his training aged 20. His skill at mechanics and brown-nosing the local administrators allowed his promotion to the position of foreman, giving him considerable authority in his workplace, as well as access to factory plans across the industrial district. A wave of ICA bombings unknowingly brought Jack under the scrutiny of the KGB. Chance, and Jack's skills at mechanics and motivating his workers, led to him being moved to Leningrad instead of being tortured and executed.

Sorry if it's a bit long, I got quite involved :p

why that is long isnt it very long now i wish i made mine longer

Name: Richau Mistov

Gender: Male

Date Of Birth: 12th of September, 1975

Appearance: A businessman, dressed in a suit and such. Short, brown hair and a layer of stubble.

Personality: Richau is often megalomaniacal, vindictive and controlling. He is also, however, brave, principled (mostly), and thinks nothing of enormous risks. Struggling his way to the top of the pile has taught him that much.

Home Town/Nation: Prague, Czechoslovakia.

Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: A general distrust, mainly because he's unable to seize the power and wealth he ultimately desires. As long as the political system he lives under makes him money, he doesn't mind.

Reason(s) for being displaced: Richau began subtly incorporating anti-Communist activities into his life, and writing intense anti-USSR writings in his personal dairy. He was informed upon, and duly arrested.

Notable Abilities: Knows little fear, a decisive decision-maker, able to manipulate and intimidate.

Short Biography: Richau was born into a extremely poor Czech family. Often left to fend for himself, he became intensely aware of human nature, and how it worked. Seizing on this, he clawed his way to the top of the business food chain. He eventually moved to Leningrad in search of more profit, but only found the stench of Communism.

Heh. Very political. I like that. Well, I guess I'll join this one, if there are spots, as it has my interest thoroughly fixed.

Name: Gediminas Naujokaitis

Gender: Male

Date Of Birth: September 13th, 1967.

Appearance: 192 centimetres tall, very thin man with a scruffy beard that barely makes him look just a bit respectable. Short brown hair and blue eyes. He often dresses in an old, patched coat made out of very poor fabric that now has been bitten and dissolved in places so many times by various insects that it's just not worth fixing it to keep it clean and well-maintained. He normally has thin, summer pants held together with a cardboard belt he made himself. His boots could do with a bit of shine, but besides that they are perfectly good leather boots, useful for striding around mud, muck and any other terrain. Usually he wears thick glasses that were glued together with tape. Of note is a scar around his neck and above his right eyebrow.

Personality: A quiet and reserved person, he prefers to stay as far away from public events as possible. He doesn't have particularly strong faithfulness or loyalty and just wishes to own a small farm where he could live out his life in solitude. For a farmer, he is very studious and during his brief visits to cities, you can normally find him in a library, reading classic, party-approved literature or at a cafe, reading the latest news. Avoids talks about his homeland. Has a very strong dislike for Poles and Russians.

Home Town/Nation: Daugailiai, Lithuanian Soviet Socialist Republic.

Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: Deeply despises Communism, as in the winter of 1989 his wife and children were killed in a militia attack on their village while he was on his way to his brother to purchase a cow. After finding about his brother being shot dead a week ago for being a fascist, he left for home the same night, only to find his village in flames, the animals and most of the inhabitants slaughtered and his wife and children hanging on a tree branch, frozen ropes digging into the cold flesh of their necks. Also despises the USSR, because he was raised as a patriot and heard of all the great deeds Lithuanians have performed, especially noting the Battle of Grunwald, which is one of his favourite historical events. Does not have a strong political affiliation and just wishes to live in peace. Strong possibility of real damage to young members of the Proletariat.

Reasons for being displaced: Perceived as a general threat to the pro-communist beliefs of others. Noted for being involved in minor protests and teaching anti-soviet knowledge to his students. Pending order of Execution, may be issued within 2 weeks of arrest.

Notable Abilities: Unusually perceptive, rather intelligent. Exceptional knowledge in herbs and farming, as well as encyclopaedic knowledge of Lithuania's history. Can make many useful things out of simple materials and has a very basic knowledge of chemistry. Knows how to handle most farming equipment and tractors. Speaks fluent Lithuanian and Russian. Minor medical abilities.

Short Biography: Born in 1967, Gediminas lived a hard life. His father and mother carefully raised him as a staunch patriot and anti-communist, until they were hanged for partisan activity in 1975 and then dragged through the streets of his home town. He left it the following year and wandered until a family took him in as their own in a tiny village that's even not mentioned in a map. He was educated as a farmer and was further educated by a retired tutor. He lived there until the incident of 1989, outlined above. Soon after he began wandering as a tramp, until finally he found employment at a Soviet Agriculture centre and was soon sent to his teaching position in Leningrad.

During his stay there, he has been involved in anti-Russian, anti-Polish, anti-Communist activities and the authorities have recognised him as a person who needs to be eliminated. Under veil of darkness, several militia men raided his home and dragged him away. Further activity will be monitored.

I hope that's not too long and that you still have vacant spots.

EDIT: Edited the sheet a little to make it more like a file, changed some things around.

Jolly good, then. This seems really like an interesting RP. I also hope that I won't be the only Ex-soviet here as I believe that two people who have been in the system would really make the experience even better.

Bloody hell, not only is Combined back but I'm going to be in an RP with him? I think I've died and gone to heaven.

An oppressive communist heaven, but heaven nonetheless.

EDIT: Hell, a lot of these character sheets are making me wish I had done more with mine. I just made it up as I wrote and really didn't put as much thought into it as I could have. Oh well.

Also might I note that I see my character as supporting the Soviet system on a very superficial level, as in mostly just buying into propaganda. He very well might be persuaded otherwise by some of you folk. So, as a disclaimer, any arguments my character may make in support of the USSR do not reflect my actual beliefs. Don't want to get on anyone's bad side here.

This looks so cool, I want in please

Name: James Bell (I've been using this name a lot)

Gender: Male

Date of Birth: 12/30/69

Appearance: 6'2, muscular, clean shaven with dark brown hair, has a scar on his right cheek

Home Town: Portland, Oregon

Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: He appreciates the services that the state gives its citizens, but hates the dictatorship that hammers its people. Furthermore he dislikes the economic system of communism and prefers capitalisms economics, but no without some government oversight.

Reason for being displaced: He had been wandering since America fell and just happened to fall in with the group of displaced people

Notable Abilities: Has some skill with marksmanship, some survival skills, minor medical skills and knows how to get information. He is highly intelligent.

Biography: James was born in America twenty years before it's collapse. In that time he enjoyed a fairly comfortable life as he came from an upper middle class family (his father was also mayor of Portland and he learded more about politics from him). He studied the geo-political battlefield that was happening between America and the U.S.S.R. While he enjoyed America and its way of life, he wished the government of the people would do more for its people when they needed help. Still despite its flaws he loved his country, and decided to serve its military when he turned eighteen. Two years after joining the U.S.S.R launched an invasion of America to annex it. Though he and his unit fought bravely, America eventually fell. Rather that join the neo-fascist states, he wandered around, drifting from one area to another. He despises ICA because of their terrorist tactics, after serving in the military he knows that their tactics are not effective and the only way to change government is to have an official change it for the people. He dreams of a day when one or more U.S.S.R officials do that and usher in peace and security for its people.

I'm very interested. Here's my character.

Name: Demi Kaler

Gender:Female

Date Of Birth:October 24, 1990

Appearance: The most noticeable thing about Demi is her eyes. They are a deep blue and her father describe them as 'Able to see right through a persons soul'. She also has dark brown hair that falls over her shoulders and stops at the mid-section of her back. She wears tight black pants, along with a tight white t-shirt. She wears black converse which are shaggy and falling apart. Standing at about 5'5 and weighing 106 lbs she is rather short and skinny with almost no muscle mass.

Personality:Despite her less than pleasent upbringing she always stays positive. But unfortunately because of her young age she still believes that everyone has the capability to be good, and therefore tends to trust people too much and they often time take advantage of her generosity and good nature. She is not very bright and finds anything that relates to education boring and lackluster. Because of this she often times needs thing explained to her more than once.

Home Town/Nation: Chicago, Illinois.

Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: Hates the USSR because it is a dictatorship. Being brought up as a Patriot she believes that a democratic government would help all the nations return back to normalcy. Deeply believes in equality and freedom.

Reason(s) for being displaced: She was arrested attempting to steal food to feed herself and a few others. Because most of the jails in that area were full they decided to displace her to a different location and imprison her there.

Notable Abilities: Is relatively good with guns. Not aiming and shooting, but she can repair, mod, and take apart almost any gun.

Short Biography: Demi was born in Chicago, Illinois when then USA was in its current position. After she was born she was promptly put into foster care by her mother and father, both of who were not able to take care of a child. She stayed in foster care for most of her life until she turned eighteen and promptly left the foster care system. Moving from one town to the next she offered her help wherever it was needed. After a few short stints in prison for robbery she decided to move further down south. Now she wanders from place to place, not staying in one location longer than a week.

CosmicCommander, would I be allowed to create a character that has a language barrier with the other characters? He could speak enough [insert language to be spoken between characters here] to have a basic understanding, but cannot speak it. He only knows Danish. If that's not acceptable, I will make a different character.

Name: Lucie Rousseau

Gender: Female

Date Of Birth: April 11th, 1983

Appearance: Lucie has lightly tanned white skin and stands at 5'8". She is quite slender, though a bit curvy. Light brown curls fall to her mid-back, when not kept back in a high ponytail. Her eyes are bright green in colour, covered with a modest amount of mascara and skin-toned eyeshadow. At the time of the incident, she was wearing a black pair of jeans, a grey tank-top, and a yellow short-sleeved cropped jacket. On her feet (which are quite small) sat a pair of yellow converse shoes.

Personality: Lucie is a problem solver, and always seems to be in deep thought, or that her mind is always elsewhere. When she has an idea or a plan, she often keeps it to herself; she is independent to the point of tending to block other people out, except when in session with a patient. However, when she is 'present' in the room and focused, she can absorb information at high speeds.

Lucie is very confrontational and kind, yet in a slightly stern manner. When in control of a bad situation, she tends to become serious and determined, whereas she would normally be relaxed and content within her own territory. Though she does have a sense of humour, she only ever exercises it at an appropriate time. She also tends to be a perfectionist in the sense that if she can't accomplish something, she will try every alternative to obtain her goal.

Home Town/Nation: Abbeville, France

Their thoughts of Communism and the USSR: Having grown up with communism and within the conquered lands of the USSR, Lucie has little reason to see why any other form of government would be any better. She actually admires communism when on paper, as well as democracy and socialism; however, she believes that the execution of all of these demonstrate the weakness of humanity and are equally flawed. She often wishes that communism was eradicated, and a new form of government built from the ground-up to accommodate modern times and reasonable logic, but that has yet to happen.

As for the USSR, she is not a fan at all. Though she complies by Russian rules and demands, Lucie believes herself to be a French woman, but like a bird in a cage. She hopes to see the world restored to the way it once was, but keeps that to herself.

Reason(s) for being displaced: Lucie was offered a raise, as well as a nicer office located near more hospitable apartments. The offer seemed like a godsend; recently, her apartment has seemed to become more and more dilapidated, from wallpaper tears, to leaking pipes. Moving to Svobodny, however, has struck Lucie as somewhat curious. The people who had offered her a greater position in Svobodny had mentioned that the new location needed more psychiatrists than ever. But why would that be?

Notable Abilities: Lucie is a psychiatrist, and therefore exceptionally good at using persuasion to reason with another person, especially in dire situations. She is able to keep relatively calm when in trouble, and is very agile (likely from years of playing dodgeball with her friends on the streets.)

Short Biography: Lucie was born in a small, more modern town in France to a family of three- her mother, father, and an older brother of four years. Her parents, fearful of what might happen to their family if they spoke out against the USSR, kept their secret close of how they wished for the liberation of all countries claimed by the USSR- however, this dim hatred for communism and its enforcers was passed from father to son.

At the age of seventeen- when Lucie had barely turned thirteen- her brother, Sebstien, joined a Western European Liberation Group. His appearances around the household became more and more rare, as he spent his time protesting and 'fighting the commies'. Eventually, one day, he left home and never returned.

It took many years to even begin to deal with the loss of her brother. By the time of here eighteenth birthday- four years after the disappearance- Lucie had also come to ignore the raging fits her father had towards the slightest display of pro-USSR, and the furious sobbing fits her mother had at his side. In fact, it went so well ignored, that Lucie took her time calmly at the shop one day, returned home late that night, and needed ten full minutes to notice that her parents had vanished as well... just as her brother had many years ago.

With half of her parents money and what she gained by selling their house and many of their possessions, Lucie moved to Paris that summer to begin university for writing and psychiatry, and hopefully start anew. Since then she has graduated, become a reasonably respected doctor, and moved to Leningrad with her (now ex) boyfriend.

CosmicCommander, would I be allowed to create a character that has a language barrier with the other characters? He could speak enough [insert language to be spoken between characters here] to have a basic understanding, but cannot speak it. He only knows Danish. If that's not acceptable, I will make a different character.
It will be interesting to see a bit of a language barrier, so yes, but your character must have a good sheet! And the langauge I show will be english, but I see the Soviets teaching every school just Russian, no more, Russian has became the standard worldwide.
