Lukas ignored the other conversations nearby, and focused on the now slightly nervous man,
"I believe the train has been ambushed," He lightly paced in small circles, trying to think of whom, and why "Probably by ILSA insurgents, they must have wanted to free an operative on the train, or pillage it's stores... and I believe..." Lukas was happy with the thought rushing in his head, "That they had wanted to free an operative, fitting my description..."

"That they had wanted to free an operative, fitting my description..."

Sergei was not sure what the man meant by this, but he feared the worst. "Why...why would an ILSA operative fit your description?"

"Hmm, that is a good question, perhaps because you don't want to see a coat as nice as mine become perforated with bullet holes, or possibly because you are better than that Soviet scum and won't shoot a man who currently bears you no ill will."

Yan stayed quiet, knowing that there was often value in silence. Men would speak deeper secrets to fill a silence than could be prised from them by torture, and would spout their thoughts and plans with the right encouragement. All you needed to know was the right kind of silence.

The others, however, did not seem to think the same. Lukas seemed bright and able, but his thoughts spilled out as soon as he thought someone was interested, and as for the new come, it was obvious he was nervous, it came across in his bearing and his manner, and even more so when he spoke, trying to find out more, and in doing so, revealing more than he realised. And right now, Yan was forced to wonder why the man was afraid

Of course, he spoke none of this out loud. Better to play one's hand close to the chest, and look dimmer than you are. But sometimes, people need a little push

"Speculation has little value right now," he remarked bluntly to Lukas, then turned his attention to Sergei "You're afraid" he said, shortly, "I can practically smell it," he took a step closer, "Why?"

"Did you hear anything about a failed attempt by the ILSA to steal Classified documents from Leningrad? Well, it just so happens that the operative who failed his task is myself. The ILSA will have good reason to destroy this train, I have been with them for a significant amount of time now..." Lukas looked at the man, he seemed scared, "Is everything aright?"

I am turining in for the night, do some mingling, and discovering, but have fun! I'll be back at tomorrow afternoon!

Yuri lowered his rifle, his hand slipping off the trigger a smile on his large face

"It is a nice coat"

"Yes Yuri, it is. Now can we get the fuck out of here before more of those god damn Soviet bloodsuckers show up and take pot shots at this thing of beauty?"

One of the men in the group, an older man and the one with the revolver, stepped intimidatingly towards Sergei and said, "You're afraid, I can practically smell it. Why?" But before he could answer, the other man spoke up, confirming that he was in the ILSA. At his words the color drained from Sergei's face, but by now his adrenaline was flowing and he quickly thought up a plan. The only way out of this would be to pretend to be one of them. He hoped his acting skills would be good enough.

Again clearing his throat, and trying his best to banish the fear from his voice, he tried to sound relieved, and said, "So this means you were prisoners on the train? Thank god, me too." Sergei didn't usually say "Thank god", as most good Soviets didn't, but as he had been told he believed that terrorists were all crazy theists. "I was afraid you were guards or loyal Soviets, and you would kill me."

As the words slipped off his tongue, Sergei's confidence began to grow. He could do this, a bunch of dumb criminals wouldn't find him out. His stance relaxed, and his calmer tone was now less forced. "My name is Sergei, Sergei Baranov."

Sergei then looked to the side, where two men were having what sounded to be a very tense conversation. With a start he noticed one of them was holding an assault rifle. Was it a guard? Would he think he was a prisoner? Sergei looked to the old prisoner next to him, ironically hoping he would use his revolver to protect them.

"If there is a shoot-out that means someone is killing Soviets. I saw we get in on the fun."

He draws his pistol and smiles quickly at Yuri.

"Well we could look for survivors, or we could head straight to the action. I personally prefer heading into the dangerous war-zone."

Yuri looked to the side and saw Sergei (the other one) staring right at them

"Looks like we have company"

He points his pistol at Sergei.

"Who the fuck are you? And more importantly where do your fucking loyalties lie?"

Head pounding.
Heart beating a thousand miles an hour.
The feel of blood running down your face.

What just happened?

Dmitri began to stir, finding himself laying face down, pinned under a sheet of metal. The last thing he remembered was an explosion, rocking, things going dark, then nothing. What had happened? He lifted the metal off of him, and began to stand up.

The sound of gunfire was blaring in the distance, and the wreckage of what was the train he was riding on sat slightly away from Dmitri. He heard nothing but the gunfire, but he noticed some other men. One was pointing a gun at another. The others seemed to be talking. Dmitri did not know what had just happened, and he did not know who some of these men were, but he did recognized one or two from the train. He decided to press his luck and approach them.

"Uhh, greetings, comrades. I'm a bit disoriented. What is going on?"

Dmitri was caught off guard by the man with the gun questioning him. His senses quickly snapped back to him, and responded to him.

"What? No! I was a prisoner on that train, just like you!"

Cyprus's mind raced with potential solutions to this crisis he was in, the best idea seemed like it would be to flee. He carefully eyed the people around him, one gun totting psycho stood out. He was still lying on the ground, cowering in the snow with the people surrounding him. If he tried to flee he could get shot by one of these Russians, realizing the possible outcomes of his idea he sunk his head back into the snow and stayed low to the ground. Attempting to prevent drawing attention.

"This fucking sucks...."

He focuses his gun on Cyprus but nods to Dmitri.

"You aren't with the Soviets then you are good by me."

Looks back at Cyprus.

"As for you! You have ten seconds to explain yourself before I start putting holes in you."
