As the soldiers had appeared, Yan quietened, and bowed his back as if carrying the weight of great age, instantly adding years to his appearence. He pocketed the weapons before the soldiers got close, and made himself look like an old man tagging along in the hope of not being left to freeze.

Silently, he allowed himself to be handcuffed, but as the guard made to force his hands behind his back, he made a whimpering noise and complained of his sholder. The guarded apologised and instead cuffed them in front of him.

Inside his head, Yan laughed. If he knew what he was doing, a man hardly lost anything by having his arms cuffed in front; they were still usable, had almost the same reach, and the chain could even be put to some use. As the soldier moved on, he walked toards the APC, adopting a slow, slightly limping walk. It was always valuable to be underestimated

Andrew, who faced torture time and time again, had initially refused to be cuffed. We're just civilians... right?
But seeing it being a precaution, he let them handcuff him and lead him to the APC, where he started to wonder about the events that just occurred.

Who were these people, and how did they know Lukas. Wait. They said something about being in the same group. What was that group... the terrorist one, that right. I wonder why she tried to kill him really...

Sergei was terrified, surrounded as he was by well-armed guerilla soldiers who had just emerged from the trees. He was practically sweating despite the cold; again he hoped no one noticed. He was more scared than he had ever been in the army. Then he was in control; he was the one with the machine guns and tanks and helicopters hunting down insurgents. Now he was defensless, and surrounded by the same people he had once fought.

He was at least glad they had decided to spare the Soviet soldiers that had surrendered. He knew he wouldn't have made the same choice in their position. In fact he had once been in their position, and he had proved incapable of sparing the lives of those who were so recently trying to kill him. Still, he failed to recognize the true similarity of the situation. What were a few American insurgents compared to the lives of brave Soviet soldiers?

The guerillas began to lead them towards an APC. They were well equipped. Could they be ILSA? If they were, Sergei doubted he would make it out of their custody alive. He had heard horror stories about the ILSA terrorists.

Yuri did not enjoy being handcuffed, espically by the very same people he had just fought to protect.

But, he managed to swallow his pride and go along quietly. It would be pitiful to get shot over pride. Plus, it sounded like these people hated the Soviet leaders as much as he did so maybe there would be more chances for killing in the future.

The APC was not really anything to be proud of, it was simply a rusting army truck with blue stripes painted on it's side, and a minigun strapped to it's roof. But it was formidable as it's message on the banner showed, it was named:

The Menstruating Veronica.

Lukas chuckled as the group obediently marched towards it, and boarded with the soldiers one by one. The soviet soldiers that had been spared turned and waved at the party, and stood up to take a look around. The female commander of the squad closed the doors of the truck, the group getting the last sight of the flaming wreckage of the train. She then got in the drivers cabin, and flicked the ignition on.

The roaring of the truck sounded, and the truck began to move. A minute later a strange echo started and the voice of the commander came through a speaker on the ceiling.

"Hello there everyone. Both crew and passengers, this is Commander Koledok speaking to you, on our little voyage back to base. Now, for all passengers we have microphones wired in there, so you can ask me any questions you'd like for now."

Yan had found a corner of the truck, and relaxed, letting his shoulder lump in an image of great tiredness. Once more following his discipline of silence, he feigned sleep while the others asked questions for him

Just to clear some things up, Andrew asked:
"Why are we handcuffed? Since we are civilians we won't try to fight you. Even if it is just a precaution, there are soldiers here with us. Also where is this "base" of yours that we are headed to?"

Remember my character is the youngest and most rash of the group (I think)

Vassili sat in the APC, once again imprisoned "Shit" he muttered to himself, what was the point in all this if he was just going to be locked up again by someone else?, he heard the womans words, what was stopping them from putting a bullet in their heads just for securities sake?

His eyes darted at the others in the APC, he was beggining to warm up inside the APC but was still shaking from the fear of what was to come, who the hell were these people?

There was a pause from the speakers, and then the reply came,
"You may not be civilians, you might be deep cover Soviets, you might be from the Leiterlude, or you might just be dangerous individuals. I can't take any risks, no matter how small the probability of trouble is. But if you are civilians, as you claim, you have nothing to fear. As for the base, I can't tell you where it is, but I can tell you it's called the Epsilon Compound..."

Lukas butted in,
"You mean the Epsilon compound?!"

"Whats wrong with the Epsilon compound? Sounds like a nice place." said Andrew, a little worriedly.

In fact, Andrew only said it to comfort himself more than anything.
If Lukas was worried, we should all be, he thought.

"I never said anything was wrong with it, you wouldn't understand, you are outside of the organization... the Epsilon Compound is essentially the strategical Headquarters of the Alliance. It's well hidden, and only a scarce amount of people know it's location-- even don't know where it is; it is indeed an important place..."

Lukas shook his head, and sighed, "I've said to much."

Yuri settled back into his seat, closing his eyes, trying to relax.

"Maybe you should just be quiet then"

he spoke softly to himself as Lukas talked about some sort of compound, that he probably shouldn't be talking about

"Important? What, like your main base?"

Dmitri sat amongst the other prisoners and soldiers. This is just great. He goes from being a prisoner of the Soviets to being a prisoner of some guerrilla nutjobs. Whatever base they were taking us to, it would probably be better than being executed by the Soviets, so Dmitri couldn't complain too much.

"Said too much? If we are going there, wont we find out anyway? Just say it!"

Cyprus slouched back into his seat, brushing strands of hair out of his face. He eyed the people surrounding him nervously, not entirly aware of what he was getting himself into.

"I'm not entrily comfortable working with...terrorists" He muttered under his breath as his eyes jumped from one armed soldier to another.

Desperately needing sleep, Andrew closed his eyes, listening to the others talk.
Main base huh? He thought. We're either going to be tortured, killed, or held under surveillance. Might as well make my last days tolerable after some sleep.

Lukas replied to Dmitri,
"Yes, I suppose it is. But I can't say any more, I don't know much more on it."

The Commander in the driver's cabin replied to Cyprus quickly, and bluntly, through the speakers,
"I doubt you even know who we are. But you will see soon that we are not holding you at ransom, or forcing you to do anything. We are the ILSA, not Soviets."

"...the Epsilon Compound is essentially the strategical Headquarters of the Alliance."

Sergei's eyes widened at these words from the newly liberated terrorist. Conscious of the soldier sitting right across from him, he quickly turned his head away and closed his eyes, pretending to rest.

However he was in frantic thought. The ILSA main base? Within the very borders of Russia? Sergei had always assumed the terrorists operated out of the hellhole that was New Zealand or some other desolate part of the world. Could this really be possible? Surely this terrorist, Lukas, was just exaggerating?

The thought occured to Sergei that he was soon to find out personally. The realization gave him a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach. He was either going to come out of this as a hero of the Soviet Union or, more likely, dead.

ILSA? Did he say ILSA? Dmitri thought the ILSA didn't even exist. That they were just some boogieman or scare tactic thought up by the Bolsheviks. Now, Dmitri was one of them. Funny how much of your life can change just by getting caught with a black market Glock.

"You can call yourself whatever you want, your still terrorists." Cyprus replied as he looked up at the speaker, aware that more then one person might be lstening to what he said. "I mean, it's not like the Reds are the only ones who killed civilians. Do you have any idea how many innocent people you killed on that train?"
