I'm thinking it's some kind of S&M themed third person shooter, what about you?
It's actually a hilarious beat-em-up in a fantasy setting.

Ya it should be on the PSN already. If not it will be tomorrow.

I can't watch YouTube videos at work, but a new point-and-click from Ron Gilbert might be entertaining. The original Monkey Island, while fantastic when I was a kid, has aged pretty badly. Though a large part of that is probably due to me knowing all the puzzles off by heart...
Ah, well, it's not a point and click, but if it's any help, it's been described as "Diablo meets Monkey Island", which is all well and good, I'm sure, but I'd love to get the opinion of someone who's actually played it. It's got a rockin' art style too :p
Isn't Diablo pretty much point-and-click? You point at things, you click on them, they die ;-)
It wasn't on the PS1 ;)

And I am currently D/Ling it
What, Diablo 1? Yes it was. Or have I missed something here?

Anyway, I'm crazy pumped for this game.

Diablo 1 on the PS1 was a button mashy hack 'n slash. No pointing or clicking involved.

Only because people had controllers and not mice. Regardless, I thought you were saying Diablo 1 wasn't available for the ps1 and I was just chiming in on that. I fondly (no) remember having a dedicated memory card just for the game...because it took the entire goddamn card to save.

I prefered it on the PS1 with the controller. I still think it is a shame 2 never hit the consoles. Sure at the time it wouldn't have worked well but these days there is no reason why it couldn't.

Anymore and you'd be better off with Torchlight being on PSN or XBLA. It's honestly a better game than it's source material. Hell, I'd probably buy it again.

I just want a good hack n slasher. I liked Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 & 2 (except for the endings) and after those the console hack n slasher just dropped off the face of the planet. Sacred 2 tried but unfortunately got bogged down in 400 square miles of the same damn missions. It is sad the only place to find them is on the arcades.

Death...Spank...

I don't know what it is, but the name is pretty worrying.
All I can think of is that Godhand game when I hear this.

Doesn't it go to PSN first? Or is it the same release on XBLA and PSN?

I dunno how it works anymore. It used to be Wed for 360 and Thurs for PSN (on multiplat arcade games). I heard Sony was changing it but haven't paid much attention to see if they actually did.

I don't know what day it is, but I just downloaded the demo on PSN, and there was an ad for the full game.

Yes it is in North America. First game where I got an avatar award before getting an achievement (and it is pretty good prop to boot). To bad the menu system sucks. There is no easy way to compare your equipment. And there is no customization when you level. You get to pick one out of 3 things (speed increase, melee or range damage increase ect ect) but you don't get any skills or spells to choose.

Tough call. The humor is OK but the gameplay is average. You assign weapon to your face buttons and wack monsters. Hordes upon hordes of monsters and collect the crap they drop. I do like it better than Arcania Warriors. It isn't the type of game everyone will fall in love with.

I bought it yesterday and I gotta say it's pretty fun. I only played for an hour or so, and the gameplay itself is basically wander around and hit things. If you like Diablo-style loot games then you'll feel at home. If not, well, you won't. The humor, the graphics, and the voice work are all amazing, and i'd recommend trying the game out just for those. Killing vicious chickens for their lips ("do chickens even have lips?" "of course, how else do you think they whistle?" "oh... good point.") and so on is just very much a joy. And the items' names can be great.

SO yea, gameplay is kinda average, but the visual style, the voice work, the humor, and just the overall style of the game makes it well worth the $15 imo. If you're fence sitting, download the free trial.

Ron. Gilbert. That's all you need to know.

Think Monkey Island or Maniac Mansion, and you'll understand.

I played the demo. It's amusing at times, but it didn't take much for me to stop playing.

Putting a point and click adventure game together with a point and click RPG... Wah?
It's more like Diablo gameplay with Monkey Island stylization.

Looks bad man,I don't like it,especially hearing the developer : As you can see those trees are in 2d,they look flat, but the world is 3d ;What the hell man? If we look at trine it has 3d world with sidescrolling and it looked great. The world just looks bad.
