Ok, so I'm sitting here browsing the interweb and my brother is watch TV. He puts on this thing and says 'Look at this'. Me being curious and bored I looked up (My brothers TV is above my temporary PC setup) and saw a girl at a party or something. Fair enough. She then starts talking to these random people she doesn't even know about how what their doing is wrong (Drinking, socialising with the other sex) and how they will go to hell for it. It kind of scares me that people out there push their beleives on people that forcefully.

The next scene is her talking to two teens about how they live their lives in sin. The two teens ask 'So in your eyes are we all equal?'. She awnsers 'Yes, you are in the same group as murders'. This is her honest opinion and she can't see how bashful this is.

The last scene of the program shows here talking about her experience in the world (Student life with a friend) and what she thought. She then wraps up with she thinks shes a wicked person and stuff, when she clearly has good intentions so I wouldn't go that far. Then she talks about how jesus came down and died for her sins and she broke down into tears.

Quite a long explanation but bear with me. I'm not sure what to think here. Does she have a right to say this stuff to other people? Should she at least be taught to not start so strong? How do people get like this? Is it having the bible forced on you from a young age?

Have you guys ever came across something like this, or seen this on TV?

I saw the entire program after it was recomended by friend, it's pretty disturbing in my opinion the lengths that the entire family featured go to, they are all indoctinated to belive this is the only truth, which they then try to push onto other people, they run this pupet show where they basically sit these childeren down, from the local community, and tell them though the medium of pupets that they are all going to hell!

Whats more disturbing is that I live about 20 mins from where they live!

Yeah Ive seen the programme and it's just an exploration of the batshit crazy lengths people go to brainwash their kids into what they regard as a moral way of life...

Im raising my kids "flying spaghetti monster!" If indeed I ever have kids which is a huge improbability!

She has the right to free speech, but this is just arrogant. Clearly she was raised to believe she is a murderer and belives everyone else is too, unless they follow her specific "one true God". At this point, telling her what she believes is wrong will probably kill her.

Yeah there, are people who show up at our school campus in or free speech corner and shout at us about how we are all going to hell and that god hates us. She has the right to say that stuff as long as she isn't threatening any one (although she is threatening damnation but besides the point). As for how someone gets that way some are force fed the bible like ou said. But some religious congregations are very persuasive and when you are exposed to the same message day in and day out you begin to lose your objectivity. I hesitate to say that it is brainwashing. As telling people who do this not to start so strong it rarely works. They are steadfast in their belief that the method they employ is the best method to reach people. But then again I only have experience with the people in my area so maybe it is different elsewhere, but here is some food for thought, it is a lady who defending her church for having its congregation show up at soldiers funerals to protest. It is a clip from the fox news network (just a warning to those who hate fox news) please excuse the title if your baptists I didn't make it.

I thought deborah 13 servant of god was quite distressing as that girl was completely detached from reality, almost certainly because of her nutcase parents and the fact she's never gone to school and discovered real society. I felt quite sorry for her as she couldn't help how her mind had been warped.

It was the puppet show that got me.
And also the fact that people who lie and people who kill other people will all end up in the same hell. No middle ground. If you don't follow the Bible to the punctuation mark then you're going to hell according to her.

As I think free speech is the way to go, I both think she's got every right to say that... and that everyone who doesn't actually agree have every right to laugh her in the face for it.
