She has the right to tell me she believes Im going to hell, the same way I can reply by calling her a ****. Will she think shes been proven right? I dont really care.

The last scene of the program shows here talking about her experience in the world (Student life with a friend) and what she thought. She then wraps up with she thinks shes a wicked person and stuff, when she clearly has good intentions so I wouldn't go that far. Then she talks about how jesus came down and died for her sins and she broke down into tears.
That always got me about the bible. If there was an all powerful god, he could just write off all of the sin with a wave of his epic, beardy finger. That means all of the torture and crucifixion stuff was done for shits and giggles, to amuse himself. Like a catholic sponsored episode of jackass.

Sounds harmless enough, if a little disturbing, until you consider that he is all knowing. So he knew his frat boy prank will lead to Jews being hounded for centuries as christ killers. What an all powerful douche.

Okay, overall that sounds crazy to me, espesh as it's British!!! I knew there were these kind of obsessive nutters in other countries, but I thought most British people had given up believing in religion....

TBH though, I don't really mind that much. They are as welcome to believe that as I am to believe what I want to (when I eventually get around to working out what that is).

Ugh...
Its one thing to be greatful to Jesus; even if you don't believe he took on the sins of the world, one should be able to appreciate the idea of someone passivly dying for his people.

Really, though, she needs a dose of humility. She's supposed to leave the saving to Jesus and just live an exemplary life on her own.

Oh man, the Westboro Baptist people were going to come and protest my high school graduation because we'd voted for a lesbian prom king. Now, the trick here is that Prom royalty was not a big deal. We voted at the dance and most people tossed the ballots they were handed as they walked in into the trash bin that was about four feet away. Some friends of the lesbian girl thought it'd be funny to put her as king, so they got enough people to vote for her. A few days later and Ferndale, Washington is on the map for gay rights (it was a joke, dammit! Not a statement!) and the Westboro folks decide to come and hate us. A letter from local religious groups sent to Fred Phelps, the founder of the Westboro hate group, seemed to convince him to leave us alone, but I thought it would've been awesome to see those nuts in person.

A thirteen year old?

Wow.

My church has a term for this, its called Spiritual Torture.

This means that the girl was raised into something shes too young really understand. Faith grows through experience after all. A girl that young should not be raised in such a way. Jesus is love, however at that age it is just too much.

Reminds me of the whole Jesus Camp documentary. Religion should never be forced, it is a belief that is developed through ones own experiences. Pastor's offer guidance and direction on our journeys, they do not set them out for us.

A Christian should aim to be someone's friend and truly care for them. People don't want to hear the whole 'Your going to hell' routine. Jesus only criticised when necessary, mainly the religious leaders since they should have known better after studying the religious texts. He showed love and compassion to everyone, including those that society hated.
