Decent DS Games

I bought myself a DS awhile a go but I haven't used it much and I was hoping some of you can mention some fun and challenging games. I know alot of people like those pet care and educational games but they are just not for me and please don't mention pokemon either. Any type of game is fine even if it's a sequal or a remake.

I obviously got this idea from the 'Decent PSP Games' thread.

Castlevania is awesome. Advance Wars. Ace Attorney series. Kirby and the Canvas Curse is pretty good, too. Bleach Dark Souls is a really good and addictive fighting game. If you are into hack and slashes, try Ragnarok Online DS. But for that you'll need an English patch, as the game has not been released in EU/US. Shame, though, because as a RO fan, I find the game really good.


Oh, and I have yet to try it, but Chrono Trigger is apparently a great RPG.

I'm in the same boat i've only got warhammer: squad command and Advance wars dark conflict they are both really fun strategy games. I'm tempted in branching into some more time consuming games, possibly some RPGS, one of the old school final fantasys. Definatly tempted to pick up chrono trigger and slightly less tempted but still rather intrested in that new fire emblem game that's come out...I think heard very little about it.
Depends on your personal taste, I wouldent mind grabbing a super mario game or mario kart even if it is for old times sake.

atleast unlike the wii it does have a pretty good collection of games and not casual mass produced rubbish.

Fire Emblem Is good and lasts a decent amount of time. Kirby Superstar Ultra is awesome if a little easy. What I have played of Metroid Hunters is good as well.

I haven't even heard of most of these or seen them at EB, guess I better do some research now. Is there a new Mario Brothers game? And whats Mario and Luigi Partners in Time?

The only game on this page that I wouldn't recommend is Animal Crossing. It's a pure time waster. Everything else is pure gold. Get ready to blow a lot of money, because some of the best games in the last 3 years are on the DS IMO.

Edit: No really, go down the page from the top to my post and write down any game title you see. Buy these. Of course if you are unsure, you can do some research first, but I've played 90% of them and loved every one to death. The other few I've heard are good but haven't played myself.

Contra 4 is fun, just prepare to be FUCKING FRUSTRTATED.
Still a good game, though. Also, there's all sorts of JRPGs. I hear good things about The World Ends With You, but I've not played it.
