I'm not even sure what to make of this thread...if your trying to say people are stupid and stereotypes are bad...your a bit late.

EDIT: went back and read a few more people's posts.

I guess I'll go on about intelligence and stereotypes...why not eh? I too often see people saying things(specifically about teenagers) like "it's just some 14 year old trying to be contraversial" that is indeed a direct quote. I would appreiciate it if people left age out of this. It's very possible for somone at the age of 14 to be able to form an opinion, and voice it well. If you haven't guessed yet, I'm 14. I'll be 15 in a month and some days, but still. I really don't enjoy having to contstantly tell myself I'm nto like everyone else my age when people call all teenagers or all 14 year olds(you get the idea) stupid or some other insult of the like.

Anyway that was essentially a failure of a post in terms of spelling, grammar, and organization but whatever.

From what I've seen, and i am making a broad observation here, a lot of feminists have the wrong idea about what they believe. Feminism SHOULD be about lifting women up, but most feminists think of it as putting men down, which is wrong.

I believe in Woman's Suffrage!
Eeeeh actually spend more than 5 minutes in any feminist space (be it website or magazine, NOT the random drunken musings of a group of women on a night out) and you will see that many of them try to promote mens rights aswell and DONT waste time putting the whole male gender down, but rather the patriarchy instead, which is completely different. Furthermore most mainstream feminist sites actually call out on the stupid stereotypes of men (ie doofus who cant even clean the kitchen without blowing up the street) its widely acknowledged in these circles that the patriarchy is pretty repressive for the average male too

This idea that feminist = hatez t3h menz is a false one perpetuated by the media. Men haters hate men and not all feminists are men haters its an important distinction to make if you have a care for womens rights at all.

After all you dont think that black rights people (forgot the actual term, I'm too tired...) are necessarily white people haters now do you?

I made it 41 seconds in; my ears must be cleansed.
I get enough of that garbage at school.
Wimp. 1:23. And I'm gonna watch more after I go eat.
Wow you did much better than me. A whopping 37 seconds for me before I couldn't take any more inane pubescent drivel. Christ I had enough of that when I was 15.
I finished it after.

But I'm deaf and blind now, so I probably should've stopped.
You may have lost two of your major senses but at least now you have my respect.

It's worth a lot more.
Yeah, well I also lost all feeling in my brain. I am using the last bit of my intelligence to-

What deeply saddens me is that there are actually people who have nothing better to do with their lives than watch this crap. if these girls are teen idols, should'nt they be out doing drugs, having sex with 40 year olds, and otherwise acting like a bunch of useless bints? maybe paris hilton should give lessons so these girls understand what they should do with their lives.

Its ok though. if we all hang around long enough, we will get the pleasure of watching the inevitable crash and burn. ((see: Britney Spears))

I made it 1:45 for th record, before the dumb started eating my brain and I stopped it.

Because the Internet is essentially a huge cesspool into which human stupidity is dumped en mass.
Couldn't have said it better myself.

I couldn't care less about mascara, and whatever else girls like to put on their faces. In my opinion, wearing make up to attract guys is stupid. I think a guy should love and appreciate you for you. If they don't, then they clearly aren't the right guy for you.
I would say Marry me, but I'm taken and would look like the world's biggest pedo. FINALLY, someone gets it. Amen.

Now, my 2 cents. I really detest anything that comes out of disney, and having 2 children doesn't help either. I hear that annoying little slut everywhere I go, and I am a metalhead as well, so try listening to that shit in the car while your children sing along! Not going to get into a rant. Not going to. But seriously GirlGamer, well fucking said.
I enjoy old Disney. The Lion King, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, etc. Those were the greatest movies ever in my opinion. Great soundtrack, and a heartwarming story that anyone could enjoy. I told my friends (Jonas Brother-stalking, Twilight-obsessed teenyboppers) this opinion and they haven't spoken to me for several months. *sighs* Well, when one stands up for their beliefs, no matter how different they are, one has to be prepared to be shunned.
Yep, pretty much if you disagree with the majority nowadays you should expect to be crucified. I haven't seen those movies since I was a teenager, but they were pretty good from what I remember. Nice to see there's a teen out there with some fucking sense.

These are people from two disney channel shows. "Hannah Montana" and "Wizards of something or other". But for the girl on the right THAT WAS NOT IRONY!

I made it to 20 seconds.

The thing I hate about these people, is that younger(age 6 and up) listen and follow what they say.

I mean, I'm in the car with my eight year old sister, and she starts singing along to a "break up" song on disney radio. I mean, come on! Radio disney is meant for younger viewers, and this trash is on it?

And don't get me on a disney rant...those bastards basically just killed the younger generation.

I don't really "survive" in this world. Why do you think I play games? I don't know about anywhere else, but where I come from it is always the girls with the inch thick make-up and whatnot that get the attention and they're too busy with all the guys, that girls who don't really give a shit about making themselves seem amazing can get through life drawing little attention to themselves & therefore, very few significant problems. I don't wear make-up beyond a bit of eyeliner and I don't change my behaviour in order to make me seem a bit more attractive so I know I'll probably never get the attention some girls get and that's fine with me.

If women want to degrade themselves in order to appear attractive, then that's great for them. But the day they'll stop doing that is the day men no longer react to it.

Also, I agree with AkJay. Despite the fact that I am female, I despise most feminists because they degrade men to a point where I would not be surprised if there was a male version of the Suffragettes. I don't like the idea of women being treated like crap, hell no. But I really don't like the idea of men being treated like crap because some women think they're suffering as long as men have control. The world is better off with men in control, in my opinion. Men are superior to women in SOME WAYS. Not all, but there are certainly situations a man reacts to better.

& wow I went well off my intended point...
Too right. I don't like feminists because I'm sometimes mistaken for a boy (I actually am very pretty, it's just I usually look down at the ground and wear baggy clothes), and when I hold the door for them, I get chewed out because I'm trying to be polite. What? You want me to let the door slam in your face? I'm not implying you're weak, I'm just being kind.
Why can't the genders simply be equals? Men treat us with respect, and we'll treat you with respect. But of course, we have those rappers refering to women as... (am I allowed to say it without getting in trouble with the moderators?) "bitches", and talking about them... engaging in oral sex. If those guys weren't rich, and those girls weren't paid to act like that, then I can almost guarantee those guys would get no (self respecting) women at all.
I've had men tell me I'm too weak to do things, which is good, because they were things I didn't want to do (Move a couch, flip over a hot tub, etc). Men are considered the stronger of the species because by nature they are more aggressive. We, on the other hand, are by nature the more deadlier. Ever seen a mother bear protect her cubs? All females have that instinct to kill to protect her young. But since that instinct rarely is put into use, we are considered weaker. That and women walking around in skimpy little outfits and caring too much about their hair or clothes or boys to worry about their grades. I saw a ten year old in a tube top, high heeled shoes and a miniskirt. I'm in high school and I'm not allowed to wear high heels!

I'm the exact same. I'm a fairly pretty girl, I'll admit that, but I dress boyishly and sometimes from behind I look like a boy, so I get called ugly and whatnot. But one day I wore a skirt and high-ish heels to school and their opinion of me was quite the opposite! People were shocked to see me dressed like that and suddenly guys were so much nicer to me. It pretty much proved to me that guys really only see a girl's appearance. If a girl is dressed in a manner they deem "hot", that girl will get attention and if she's dressed "ugly", that will be applied to her appearance in general.

& as you were saying about the bears? Girls always fight dirty. Guys walk in a circle and fight fairer. Girls just rip each other apart unless stopped for some reason.

Ever noticed it's the girls who don't dress "hot" all the time that get the good grades? Hell, in a year's time I'm going to University to study Chemical Engineering. Nice little break of the gender roles. That fact actually caused a lot of controversy between the science teachers. Some of them thought it was ridiculous enough that I was concentrating on Sciences in school, and they were outraged by the fact that I wanted to become an Engineer, of all things...
& also the fact that I'm clever further adds to my unattractiveness, apparently.
Oh well :)
If I may; personally, this may happen to me with girls, but I don't go for the sluts anyhow. Or at least, the girls who dressed how they shouldn't. No, in general, I don't approach people, but the thing is, someone's clothing can tell you something about their personality.

People usually judge a book by its cover, because they don't want to read everything in the library to find out what's good. I.e., I don't want to talk to every girl in the school to find out who's nice. Sometimes the ones who dress in short-shorts, tube-tops and high heels can be intelligent and moralistic, but the thing about dressing is you should ask yourself; Why do they dress like ___ if they're ___?

But that's my take on it.

I want to ask all the female escapies: How do you survive in the world where "yo, yo yo" is the key to "coolness" and wearing more makeup than KISS, Marylin Manson and Dee Snider combined is something that makes you look good?

I ignore it. Because there are bigger things to worry about than these little dipshits. I'm secure enough with myself that I don't need to look like them. Not out to impress anyone or put on an act. You eventually just start tuning out the guys and girls of the media who say you need to look a certain way to be accepted.

But, of course, you never can completely--because 80% of how a woman is judged is based on how she looks. So you just accept that there are parts of the population that will always judge you and you get over it.

Apparently 75% of statistics are made up, did you know that?

I kid with you. Looks are something, if you're a psychologist. There's how much the person cares about themselves, how they reflect their personality, how they feel about themselves(...same thing as 1). But I'll admit this isn't the first thing that comes to mind for most men, which is a shame.

Looks do mean something. Just not what they make themselves out to mean. And if that persons outward inflection feels like it clicks with you, then you move in to the personality interview.

People judge books by their covers, because it's a lot easier than reading them all. Hell, even the summaries can eat your time.
