Hey people. There are probably a few people on here going through the application process for University right now like myself, and I thought I'd start a thread about it 'cause I'm interesting like that. So, what you applying for and where?
Personally:

Biomedical Science at Lancaster, Manchester, LJMU, UCLAN and one other which I've yet to decide :p

I'm starting the application process (and having huge rants at the UCAS website) and I'm planning to study History, preferably in London somewhere.

Personal Statement is currently going through drafts for perfection. Really, once that's done my application is away. The thing I hate though is trying to input qualifications in the UCAS website - there's about 7 different types of GCSE History exams I could've taken.

Planning to study English Literature at any rate.

General Studies because I don't feel like deciding my entire future right now.

Though if I really had too, I'd like a life of watching anime, playing video games, and touching myself.

Now that's just sad, leaving out diplomas as if they don't even exist.
I'm still in high school (it's called college here, there's something wrong with the system), but I am hoping to go into uni and get a degree.

BUT THERE IS NO LOVE FOR THE DIPLOMAS! YOU SHOULD BE A§HAMED.

I was thankfully spared the walking-on-eggshells moment that is most university applications last year. I went to community college, pulled a 4.0, and got automatically accepted to the University of Nevada.

If your high school credentials are shaky, consider the community college route. Back when I was 18 and fresh out of high school, where I graduated literally third up from the bottom in a class of 243 and where my report card looked like the bra cup sizes on Baywatch, nobody would ever have figured me for being on my way to a professional degree someday.

What's my point? I don't really have one other than "rare indeed is the fuckup in life you can't bounce back from. As long as all the tests come back negative and you get acquitted, that is."

Most state universities have agreements with community colleges (in that state) for automatic full transfer of credits (for those not aware, that's a big deal). It's a pretty awesome system. You can save thousands by going to community college first. I'm going to have to start thinking about applying to grad schools soonish maybe, if I go that route instead of looking for a job.

My high school grades were terrible, but I got into a small state university (though I couldn't join any of the actual programs). They'll pretty much accept anyone who will get them money without regard to whether or not they belong there. Now I'm part of the Biotech program.

I finished my Chemistry degree in July. And now I'm going back for more with a Doctorate starting in October. Why do I do these things to myself?
