First of all, rule 1 and 2 folks!
Newfag, those only apply to raids.
The august exception is not real, deal with it. Rules # 1 and 2 apply everywhere.

No. I've heard about it from multiple people on here who have bashed it for the most part. Nobody has said anything about it that has intrigued me enough to give it a chance.

I didn't want to see that.
Only one huh? I guess you didn't spend much time there.

It's just a collection of two types of people:

1) Teens who feel like they don't fit in to normal society, so they do the most bizarre things they can think of to escape from it.

2) Creeps.

Admittedly, some of the stuff they do/have done on there is kind of funny (/v/ isn't actually so bad; they aren't like the people on the other channels), but there's way too much disturbing/weird/unfunny crap to sift through to get to it.

I'll never forget how /b/ was called upon in the times of the Zynga crisis during March Mayhem. Seeing all that goatse on escapist forums... *nods thoughtfully*

the community doesn't seem THAT bad if you don't count all the porn posts.
Man, the porn posts are the one thing that saved it.

4chan is boring. It's just cacophony and memes. I just check the archives sometimes because anything that makes there is probably above the mark.

I don't have anything against them, though. They're chaotic in one of the best possible ways.

Search bar pl0x, there was a similar thread a few days back.

Yeah I've been to it. Collected a number of funny pics too. I've also seen the progress of some small-time raids, I'd be lieing if I said I didn't find the habbo hotel raids a little amusing...
Habbo is the definition of 'serious business', I think they merited the raids for sheer humourlessness.

You need a thick skin to post long term in 4chan. Some of the stuff is just in terrible taste.

Yes. I'm pretty much a regular; it's what I do when I can't sleep and I've exhausted my dailies.

Weirdly I was instantly put off and closed it. Peculiar.

Yeah, I go every now and then, more than that recently, actually. But I don't mind it that much, there's a lot things to like that kinda' balance out the dislikes for me.

Yup, and my Kaspersky Anti-Virus caught a trojan within 10 seconds. I did not return.

I like community's sense of humor, but the way the forum is set up makes it sort of difficult to have longer discussions on anything, but more suitable for simply having fun and posting funny pictures and stuff. I have a pretty large /b/ folder with funny pictures.

And for all the gross and ridiculous shit that's posted there, that's part of what makes it hilarious for me. I remember looking around in /b/ and seeing a thread posting Ben 10 porn that simply said "because" and I started cracking up.
