Reminds me of the whole "listening to heavy metal records backwards lets you hear messages from Satan" phantom jiggery pokery. People hear what they want to hear.
To be fair, by fretting about that and exposing their children to the idea that that was a thing, they essentially created it. Several artists started including backmasked messages in response to those people. One of the more...thorough artists to do so in his early albums was Marilyn Manson: http://www.mansonwiki.com/wiki/Backmasking_in_Marilyn_Manson_songs . It should be noted that his education until high school was in a christian private school where the idea that heavy metal music in general was filled with backmasked messages to worship Satan was a thing that was frequently brought up, and he expressly stated he included backmasking in many of his songs in response.

When I saw Jurassic World, I was really disappointed when a trailer informed me that there was a consistent Minion language, and offered some sample translations. Gibberish ain't what it used to be.

Pareidolia is fun isn't it? I can see why he thought it might be swearing even though it isn't.

Stairway to Heaven backwards does sound fairly satanic, though.

Of course, there are plenty of songs that sound satanic when played normally. Also, Justin Bieber, who is a real person who exists. Priorities, people.

Guy saying something needlessly stupid and inflammatory + loads of people overreacting to it = "moral outrage".

Sure he's being daft and needlessly overdramatic (I particularly like that the description is so OTT) but why is this in any way a big deal?

Sure, but it's not English, it's a patois of like 3 or 4 languages.

This sounds like another similar thing with the NAACP. Check this one out if you want something incredibly stupid.

This man must have had the best education that money could buy to understand what in the world a minion is saying. Maybe he can talk to goats next or even sheep, who knows. We must make him president of America or master of the world, so he can end our world squabbles and enlighten the rest of us poor saps. Bring us everlasting world peace as we learn to correctly communicate with each other in the way of the minion, or sheep dialect.

Lead on great future world leader and show more in the way of your noble brilliants......

In truth he is making a mountain out of a mole hill, he is either trying to get at least some attention which he is doing or even some money from Mc D. Of course since people are looking for controversy , their will away be someone like this guy.

True. I just loved the idea that somewhere out there, some voice actor was handed a one-page script that said [MEANINGLESS GIBBERISH] and left in the booth for a few hours.

Oh it's one of the directors, in the first despicable me film it was literally gibberish he made up on the spot then they altered his voice.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZi6Nrx35Xc mentions it in this interview.

Congratulations, these people have discovered that sounds can sometimes function like inkblots where the mind tries to make sense out of what its being presented with.

My theory is that this guy endured some harsh toilet training and became fixated at the anal stage. Since he's repressing the memories, he's subconsciously denying the fact that the toy clearly says "Ca-Ca Ma."

Life can be so cruel.

Can we not call things a "moral outrage" when its one or two people being an idiot? he even doesn't sound that pissed.

At least this time there doesn't seem to be much of the bigger moral outrage (the people screaming about censorship and how some tiny little group going to ruin everything if they aren't stopped) in response.
