I'm hoping for my hometown of Liverpool, England. Then every time you try to steal a car it would be like a mad dash before anyone else beats you to it.

Series went downhill after SA in my opinion. Add more character customisation and I'l take an interest.

Wasn't Episodes From Liberty City meant to be released (or opening) on every other console in March?

GTA 5 should be London in the 60's.

Just imagine the awesomeness.

Throw in The Prisoner, Carnegie Street, Austin Powers, The Beatles, The Kray Twins...

Although I love the idea of GTA by Gaslight, set in the 19th Century with Highwaymen.

As long as it isn't Liberty City for the seventh freakin' time, I'll be happy. I guess I'd be alright with a re-imagining of Vice City or San Andreas, but something brand new is my top vote. Why not a city that doesn't get much attention in games, like say...I dunno, Denver? Just sayin'...

I heard the same and the main reason for that is probably because they're just starting all over again with the different cities. I'm referring to GTA3 which was set in LC and then the next was set in VC so it would be logical if it was set in Vice City.
Shame on you.

And, well, we can't really say anything.
Because, didn't GTA 1 & 2 play out in Liberty City?
Then we should expect 2 more games from that city, by your logic.
If my logic made sense I just found out that GTA IV should've been set in London...

But yes, I do get your point. Since I doubt anyone here will reach a conclusion I guess we'll have to wait for more pointless rumors or simply wait for Rockstar to give us some news themselves. But if I know Rockstar, that ain't going to happen in quite a while :/

Damn those Rockstars indeed.

Damn them to...
Dante's Inferno.

The fucking Lust ring.
Vagina monsters.
Are those sexistic monsters actually mentioned in the book?

It won't matter where it is placed until they go back to their fun roots. Saints Row 2 just blows gta 4 out of the water as far as gameplay went. Visuals and story were in top form for The newer GTA's, but there is nothing to do in it.

Just think of the parodies Rockstar could make of our national capital's monuments!
Not to mention all the protests that go on. Who wouldn't be up for a little subversive dirty-tricks campaign?

I heard a loooooong time ago, when I picked up my copy of GTA4, that Rockstar was considering Baltimore MD as it's next location for GTA5.

It's probably not though, but a man can dream!

No way, man. That'd suck. Everybody'd be riding around in mopeds all the time. Plus can you imagine GTA: Kirkby? It'd be like the cage fighting mini game from Gay Tony, only the opponents all rush you at once, all wield bricks and knick your socks once you're unconscious.

Yeah, fellow scouser right here. I'm allowed to make fun of the city too, it's in the rulebook.

Personally I'd love to see a fully 3d version of GTA: London, but I doubt they'll make it. The friggin' Getaway beat them to it.

I reckon it'll cycle back around to Vice City again. Just my hunch - plus, the Vice City radio station in the DLC. I wouldn't mind seeing Vice again, I had fun in there back in the 80's - it'd be great to blow it up all over again in a modern setting.

...not to mention that the London police don't carry sidearms.
