Why would they want to though? If a person looking for inspiration for a drawing looks toward Muhammad for inspiration is most likely looking for religious inspiration or inspiration for a joke. The former should have enough decency to know that such a valued icon in the Islamic community the person is and if they even plan to go through with it should do so with the utmost respect to the person and community they follow. You wouldn't want people to portray your life-long icon in a bad light would you?Father Time said:Just don't try to censor other people if/when they want to depict it.maddawg IAJI said:I would prefer to be culturally tolerant. If a person doesn't want a certain religious leader drawn or depicted in artwork then fine. I think I can live with that. I mean, its not like I'll die unless everything is free game to speak and I'm not an artistic type anyways.
The latter just sinks incredibly low to get a cheap laugh in at another person's expense. Drawing Muhammad is one thing, making a visual joke about him is offensive and really shouldn't be tolerated. There is art and then there is bad humor. One is a great way to showcase individuality and creativity. The other is just done between immature people at a party.
