Can't wait for the gd conclusion though...Depressing moments in gaming? How about when Steam has a sale, and you think "Hey! I have enough for the sale price! Sweet!" But, when you go to buy it, Steam and/or PayPal gives you the finger and says "We checked the regular price first, and you do not have enough money, so you cannot have the game for it's sale price. Sucker." That's depressing.
There's a small moment in Final Fantasy 7 that got me connected with the game. It's not that moment at the end of disc 1.
It's that moment when you found Cloud in some sort of lost state. You see Tifa on her knees. She founds the strong guy that she was looking for. However, Cloud is lost within his own mind.
My mom was in a small coma-state for about 2 days and it felt like that when I saw her. I felt sad and it was a shock.

in Mass Effect 2 when you are doing Mordin's loyalty quest, you find out all these krogans who were experimented with, and amazingly they thought they died for the future of their species.

A thousand years of Dreams from Lost Odyssey the two stand outs right now for me are Little Liar and Hanna's Departure.
P4's ending leaves me a little sad at the end, and the song that plays there doesn't help either.

Well, it was depressing when GTAIV ended. You felt that Niko had just went through all of his troubles for nothing, and had ended up back where he started.
