Depressing Realizations

Heat death of the Universe: Eventually every source of energy everywhere will be expended into the infinite void. Leaving a legacy will not be possible even on a planetary scale.

Also, every single male on both sides of my family for at least four generations has gotten prostate cancer assuming they didn't get another type of cancer first. So I have a lot of time to think about cancer.

There are more stupid people in the world than there are even moderately intelligent people. For every college graduate there are 100 people who couldn't find Iraq on a world map, and for every visionary inventor like Bill Gates there's a million people who don't even know or care to find out how a radio works. Now THAT is depressing.
