"I'm only happy when it rains...
I'm only happy when it's complicated.
And though I know you can't appreciate it,
I'm only happy when it rains.
You know I love it when the news is bad.
Why it feels so good to feel so sad...?
I'm only happy when it rains..."

:)

Sometimes, you know, it's difficult to change how our lives are, or how things have been for a long time. Sometimes it's easy to get caught up in a 'rut' and get used to it, settling for a somewhat uncomfortable situation, or enjoying the interesting situations that problems create in lives.

Eh, being depressed isn't that bad, and it isn't that good, just remember, life comes from breathing. So breath in through nose, out through mouth, and achieve inner peace.

If you've ever wondered why some humans like to create drama where there needn't be any, and why most young people on these forums have very little faith in humanity and tend to think that the world is going up shit creek without a paddle despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary, well, now you know. They are protecting their 'things-are-crappy bubble' because it's their comfort zone. Make sense?
That's all well and good but the world is really going to shit. People who are happy and take no notice are essentially deluding themselves to everything that goes on in the world. Ignorance is bliss...

But that's not to say that happiness impedes the obvious knowledge that the corporate businesses and goverments are selling you down the line into disguised slave labour. Happiness doesn't necessarily delude but that's true happiness - when you are at peace with yourself. Not material happiness when your happy because you get lots of lovely new material possessions and money.

Trying to label something so complex about the human mind so generally is uncalled for. Also what "evidence to the contrary" , have you had your head stuck firmly planted in the ground for the past century?

You want to feel depressed, because in the past when you are feeling down people have always picked you back up again, and you have enjoyed the attention you get from when you act all down.

You try to imitate it again in hopes someone will feel sorry for you again and treat you 'specially'
