Woah, really? I saw criss crossing beams instead of individual shots so I assumed they were different. Then again all I've really played (and suck ass at) is 8: Imperishable Night. Well in all the touhou games there's been all sorts of bullets. Butterflies (touhou 7 final boss), Hearts (Touhou 11 extra stage), leaves (Touhou 10 stage 4 aka 15 SECONDS OF HELL. There's a whole wikia for touhou with characters, spellcards, strategies, music, "TAKE IT EASY!" etc....
Personally, I'd recommend you try Subterannean Animism if you'd like more bullet hell, it's pretty tough, I mean I'm terrible at all touhou games as well and even if SA is my favorite, I can't clear it on NORMAL. I'd recommend it merely because of the final boss Utsuho, a Nuclear-powered hell-raven who's bullets can take up the WHOLE FUCKING SCREEN and badass nuclear warning signs before each Spellcard.
