Taste disgusting to me, so it must taste of something, right? I dunno what, but whatever it is, it's gross.

As others have said, it really depends on where it came from, what it's been stored in, the pipes, your filter system, etc. For example, the water at my house has organic, chalky undertones, while the water in my dorm room last year was very metallic.

If it's bottle water than it may taste plastic like (the cheap water bottle kind) while tap water usually taste fresh as in refreshing (not sure if that make sense to you) depending where you lived.

depends on the region sometimes it,s sweet and sometime metallic but always mostly tasteless.

......hmm...Kind mineral-ly. Like you took the taste of a clean (ish?) rock and applied a bit of that to the liquid.
