My little corner of America:

We have four seasons: Almost Winter, Mid Winter, After Winter, and Road Construction. Bring a pair of skis or a snowboard. If you're not here to hunt or ski, you should wait until Road Construction season to go and hike. The country's nice and all, but it's right next to Mormonia, so tread carefully. Oh, and this is my back yard:
Texas we have :Spring, Indian Summer, Summer, Almost Fall, and Summer again.
I'll trade you. Seriously, I want to have more summers.

That's comfortable to me. Had my parents not moved here when I was a kid, I'd be dealing with that and 0% humidity. THANK YOU MOJAVE DESERT.

Hahaha, oh a dry heat is SO different from a moist one. You will have 80% humidity at all times where I live. The coast + the south is a ***** of a combo. :/

The weather is... different: it can snow and rain and then be sunny all in the same day. Tons of places to go.

Don't live by the Great Lakes unless you want it snowing eighteen of the twenty four hours.

And we're not all fat.

America. We have more natural beauty now than most European countries have ever had. We've got one of the highest concentrations of stupid people of any developed nation, but that's not all of us. Also, Theodore Roosevelt ran this ***** for four years. That alone should give it points.

Don't listen to the people who say to stay away from the South. Stay in the more affluent parts, and it's pretty, historical, and full of nice people.

Come to Austin, Texas if you like live music. We're really big on that here. Also, tons of great places to eat. I'd highly recommend this city.
...

Wow, maybe I should be a travel agent.

America by region:

The West: We have beaches, idiots, and assholes.
The Upper midwest: We have corn/cattle, idiots, and assholes.
The Southern Midwest: We have corn/cattle, idiots, assholes, and will strap your ass to an electric chair.
The East: We have Idiots and assholes... and that's about it from what I can tell...
The South: We have sister fuckers, idiots, and assholes.... we are really short on teeth though.

Enough stereotyping... Being a large country we have a great diversity and if you look hard enough you can find most anything. We are definitely lacking right and proper castles... but in general if you want to much of it, we probably have it

Your argument is invalid.

It's fun in the sun when you're actually dealing with the sun. Add an ocean to that and it's "Have fun getting pickled."

Australia eh?

Towards the coast is where you see the most action, the further and further you go towards the middle the quieter and more filled with bumpkins it gets. The wildlife and plant-life are somewhat unique if you go bush but you won't be in alot of danger, wear sunscreen for goodness' sake and appreciate our great history (HAHAHAHAHA! Just pulling your leg, there's pretty much nothing noteworthy bar our glorified involvement in the wars and maybe colonisation, federation and the gold rush). There's not a whole lot to say, this country was pretty much built upon immigrants (makes me wonder why there was that whole immigrations restrictions act from federation 'til the '70s) so it's like a jack-of-all-trades towards the coast. You want to see what some people dub the "real Australia", head off the coast, the coast in-of-itself is nice and we have some of the best beaches and weather on earth.

i will describe my state (california) since the US is too large to describe in whole

WE ARE NOT A GIANT BEACH! we do not live on the coast and we do not live with an hour, 2 hours, or even 3 hours away from the coast. california (or cali for the douche-bags), from west to east, goes generally like this geographically: coast, valley/ desert, mountains, more desert. it is generally hot durring the winter and, depending on where you live, it is cool durring the winter with a good ammount of rain and plenty of snow in the mountains.

most californians are nice and well mannered (except for certain city dwellers). we value our freedoms as long as that freedom doesnt endanger others. a good portion of the populace either smokes or tolerated marijuana. most tend to try and be "politically correct" in most aspect of life and try not to offend anyone. most of california consists of big cities surrounded by towns which are then surrounded by small communities.

california is a great place if you like to surf, meet new and interesting people (go to santa cruz for really interesting people), skii, snowboard, enjoy fresh food and drinks, party, relax, be entertained, entertain others, and pretty much everything in-between. california is bigger than some countries and offers a wide array of things to do since geographically and socially we are an extremely varied group of people. you will be hard pressed to find a wider range of different people in any other state in the US. enjoy yourself and have fun, thats what everybody else is doing

The only place you'll find the red-coat Mounties is in the nation's capital, so don't run around looking for them, lumberjacks, or eskimos (besides, they're not eskimos, they're the Inuit!).

GUESS WHERE I LIVE?

Seriously, though... huge, gorgeous country with tonnes to offer to any traveler.

Welcome to America! So here you are, wanting to see some cool things. We have some pretty cool things, y'know! But since you probably only have a limited budget and maybe only a week or so, your choices are limited since we're a very big country. It's important to remember that you'll meet very few nice people so be cautious, most people may not know where you are from and tell you to go back, and any nice person will pester you to no end to find out about your country of origin. Food portions are large, so a single meal will last you a whole day. And if you're from anywhere that is not American, be forewarned that the older members of society will say things that will insult you.

Enjoy your stay! :D
