Minecraft
Garrys Mod
Killing Floor (in the case that I have internet for playing it)
Rock Band 3 (with all the drum, guitar, mics, etc.)
Mass Effect 2

I could go forever with those 5 games. A close contender for #5 was S.T.A.L.K.E.R. SoC with mods.

Hmmm....

Shadow of the Colossus
Minecraft
Half-Life
Half-Life 2
Morrowind
Edit: Just Cause 2 actually seems like a pretty good idea... What to replace though...

Arcanum- simply cause the game is huge and nonlinear. I like other games more but it is a game that can be played A LOT and still have things to see. It also has toolset/modding thing though I never figured out how it worked. But over time I can figure out how it works and create my own games and not play them for like years so then can experience the game as though it is made by someone else.

Planescape: Torment- I think I experienced much of this game already but I love it so much. It is my favorite game.

Tetris- not even close to my personal favorite game. But I think I can play the game for long periods and often without getting bored.

Witcher 2- simply cause I haven't played it yet and it seems like the new game that came out I would be most interested in. (also have a huge feeling there is going to some dlc, expansion packs, and maybe even a modding/toolset thing. The first one a year later after it came out with an enhanced edition for instance.)

Neverwinternights 2 and all the expansion packs. Haven't played this game, the actual game seemed rather generic from what i know but the Mask of the Betrayer expansion pack sounds awesome and i never experienced it. (I tried the first one a while ago but my computer couldn't play it). I also think it has an extensive modding/creation toolset like the first one so I can just spend a lot of time making game.s Heck, I can make a game and wait a year or two to play it and it would be like playing a game made by someone else!

(note these are not my favorite games besides Planescape. Just the games I would bring to an Island with me...)

1. Finding food oh god I am so hungry my head hurts
2. Learn to fish with a spear
3. Learn to swim in the water with some great damned fish I have speared and cannot handle
4. Try to remember if urine is a decent disinfectant, and then, how to pee on my own back
5. Cry at night, before succumbing to tropical malady and expiring

Amazingly realistic graphics!

But yes, you did not mention food, and food is a big deal. Or shelter. Shelter is a big deal.

Are we pretending to be Napoleon on Elba Island up in here? Not exactly deserted...

#1. Sailing Simulator
#2. Encyclopaedia game (To learn how to build boats/navigate)
#3. Bear Grylls game
#4. ???
#5. PROFIT!

I would never stay on an island with only 5 games. Better to die while trying to escape.
BTW. They made a Man VS Wild game. Just this year in fact.

It blows harder than anything you've ever played, (This is just an opinion based on the Let's Play that Angry Joe has been doing) But they made it.

OT: Well, with no online:
Assassin's creed 2
[Prototype]
Red Dead Redemption
Just Cause 2
Minecraft

Enough sandbox awesomeness to last me a lifetime!

1) Minecraft (What do I need it for? I'm already on a desert island, I can play Minecraft in RL... Except without the creepers. Hopefully)
2) Oblivion
3) HL2 + episodes (I count that as 1 game)
4) Duke Nuke Forever
5) Age of Empires 2

-Demon's Souls (It'll probably last longer than I will, at the cost of a few popped blood vessels and many more rage quits...)
-Disgaea 3 (must... defeat... Baal... again... easy 100 hours, if not more)
-Civ 5
-Shogun 2: Total War
-Oblivion (Finding everything in the game, again, it'll probably last longer than I do)- Oh, and would I be allowed my Oblivion strategy guide?

Tetris.
Mount & Blade: Warband.
Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.
Any of the Metal Gear Solid series.
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas or Vice City.

Good mix of story games and absolute time-killers.

EDIT: Great, I wait five fucking minutes for this post to show up after submitting it, reload the page, I finally give up and make another one further down, and NOW it decides to show up upthread.

Mods, mind deleting this one?

Let's see... since it's forever, I'd probably want to focus more on entertainment and replay value, with overall quality as a second priority.

So, Minecraft, obviously. Especially if the "ultimate" version specified in the OP included my choice of mods.

To vary it up a little, I'd take The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (for the "sandbox" and Easter eggs... also, y'know, my favorite game ever, &c.).

And while Final Fantasy X-2 isn't the best in the FF series by any measure, it is the "biggest" in terms of nonlinearity, mini-games, Easter eggs, side quests, &c.

To round it out, I'd take Super Smash Bros. Brawl, for the awesome gameplay, gazillion modes, trophy-hunting, &c.

Those four would probably do it, actually. But for variety, I'd take a puzzle game of some kind... perhaps Pokémon Puzzle League, I always felt that was underrated.

Also: Really, CAPTCHA? Really?

Legend of Zelda: Majoras Mask (N64)
Skies of Arcadia (Gamecube)
Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube)
Valkyria Chronicles (PS3)
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance (Gamecube)

Should keep me going for a while, quite sad that I had to leave out Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door.
