Heard a lot of people say sacred 2 plays like WoW, plus you can play it single, or with a couple others online.

People, what don't you get about a DUMB CLICKING RPG?! He didn't ask for an mmorpg or for a wow-like game! He asked for combat similar to WoW! Geez...

Maybe you can try Torchlight. Very much like Diablo 3, and Torclight 1 and 2 together (though 2 isn't out yet, so it's part pre-order) is 19 euro's on steam. Torchlight 1 alone is 9.

I played the trial for The Old Republic for about 3 days before cancelling my WoW subscription and movin on over. I'm so much more engaged in the TOR story than I ever was in any story in WoW, and the gameplay is very similar, but with lightsabers and stuff.

wow isn't a dumb clicking rpg, wow is a dumb hotekeying rpg. Just occured to me that he may be clicking. There's nothing that hasn't been mentioned. Soon you'll get torchlight II, maybe an open beta for Path to Exile (to, of? i dunno) you can probably get alpha/beta (its not clear) keys for City of Steam over at mmorpg and they're making that marvel mmo as a hack and slash clicker, can't do your own character though, so if the idea of seeing 50 wolverines hanging out in one place turns you off...

Every MMO ever made.
Pretty much this.

Although I'd suggest City Of Heroes since it had a great community and tons of creativity. Haven't' played it since they introduced City Of Villains though.

Xenoblade chronicles. Plenty of quests, plenty of loot to manage over multiple characters, and even an amazing story, plot, and setting. But, if you're wanting clickage...Torchlight?

I recommend Allods online it's actually a good quality game all things considered.

Also Guild Wars 2 which comes out in August.

If you want combat similar to WoW then the most similar thing is the vast majority of MMOs out there. The only thing that might be stopping him is the subscription. Hence, GW2.

Kingdoms of Amlaur. Painfully WoW-like.

Be aware it has a ridiculous aspect ratio so your first action should be to get the resolution fixing patch.
What? Maybe it's because my laptop has a ridiculous aspect ratio itself (1600x900) but I've never had a single issue with the resolution.
Your laptop is 1600x900?! Weird!

Anyway, yes I am saying it's ridiculous :p It's like walking around with a permanent hit, the brim of which extends about two meters infront of your face. It's like someone has surgically removed half your eyes. It's like looking at someone without a chest or head and thinking it's normal. It's like, it's like, it's like... Really ridiculous!!!
It's a 15" screen.

Anyway, just loaded up the game to check out what you mean, and... yeah, I've got nothing. My only complaint is that the camera is lodged a bit close around the character, but it supports my resolution just fine and there's no weird stretching or black bars or anything. And no, I didn't ever use any resolution fix.

You don't think it's weird that you were apparently never intended to see above the root systems of trees? (exaggeration) Unless you specifically rework your camera?... As for the 'too close to character' thing, that too is a direct consequence of having this weird resolution. If it had a normal resolution that would not be the case! It would look like WoW, by juniper!

Perhaps my weird laptop has made me used to weird resolutions, then. That must be it.
