Sounds tempting but I'm not so sure. I've never played the first two games and I've heard that invisible war is crap and the first Deus Ex hasn't aged well at all. On the other hand I really enjoyed Human Revolution and Deus Ex 1 is supposedly better and it's not really that expensive. Hmm, decisions, decisions...
Oh well, I have a whole weekend to think about it.

Instabuy if I didn't already have HR and Deus Ex. It does remind me I need to finish the first game though. I started by trying the tutorial level and managed to fail by accidentally throwing both pistols into the firing range and being unable to retrieve them.

Fittingly enough, my man Razorfist uploaded a video about the Deus Ex series like 5 hours before the games went on sale.

Btw, anyone know how well the first game and IW run on Windows 7? The Steam versions, I mean.
didn't play IW, but the original worked great on windows 7 for me, no flaws at all.

also, HIGHLY recommend this, essentially the black mesa mod but for Deus ex:

DE runs fine for me. I'm not complaining. It has been a while since I installed it, but I don't recall doing anything weird, I believe I just hit "install" and then it ran.

OT: Well, I have all two of the Deus Ex games, so I guess, I'll just buy the DLC for HR. Love the promotion, though!

HOLY SCTICK!

Thank you random internet person!
Thank you so much!

EDIT: Also, does Invisible War tie in with the other games at all?
Because I heard it's crap and don't want to play it, but if it ties in I might...
I've never been able to play it either, though I eventually dug around on youtube to see what went on. Seems you run into JC Denton at some point, so they've got to be loosely tied together.

Bought the first one earlier, loving it so far. The graphics are poor by the standards of today of course, but to me that just tells me that there's no way my computer can't play it.

Should really pick up all three - IW isn't as bad as people make out, it's just well below what the original was and what people expected/wanted from a sequel.

All three are definitely worth at least a single playthrough. I've lost count of how many times I've played through the original, done IW a handful of times, and HR 2 or 3 times so far.

Is probably one of my favorite PC franchises of all time. Project Snowblind doesn't count.

I already owned Human Revolution, and now I bought Missing Link, and the original Deus Ex.

Looks like it's gonna be one hell of a time sink.

You made a mistake about the soundtrack. DE:HR has one of the best soundtracks I've ever heard. And a lot of people think the same. But you can listen to it on YouTube I guess.
It's so dumb that so many people sell their soundtracks on Steam only bundled with the game. A lot of the time I'll be playing a game and think "Wow, this soundtrack is really good. It's a pity I can't buy it from Steam because they wanted me to buy it before playing the game."

I've never played IW, but I can say from experience that the first Deus Ex runs without any complications.

OT: I saw this yesterday, but I forgot to go down to the bank to deposit all the cash I got for my birthday. That being said, this will definitely be an amazing present.

God dammit, Valve!

I promised myself I would not purchase any games until I bought that Roxio Capture Card!

I mean, $15 dollars for 2 of the best human achievements of all time?! You're tearing me apart!

It's the latest in the timeline, so you won't need to know anything from it.

Play DX first, then Human Revolution.

I think I'll get Deus Ex GOTY. Never played the original, and it being hella cheap gives me a good opportunity to try it. I already own HR on PS3 (including some of the DLC) and I have no intention to play it again any time soon, so no interest in that.

woo hoo a fellow razorfist watcher, anyways i have tried the original on windows vista service pack 3 so i doubt you will have many problems with 7, but a slight google search did turn up this thread, seems to have solved his issue.

I think your talking about ea.
Hardly. EA doesn't make me want to give them any of my money!

But terms 12+13 of the Steam Subscriber Agreement [http://store.steampowered.com/subscriber_agreement/] keep stopping me from loading them up with my megabucks.
