What you describe is "breaking a street date," as opposed to straight up "leaking." The former means that a store puts the game on shelves early, which is a pain in the ass but not really a huge problem. The latter is when the source code for something starts turning up online, as we saw with Half-Life 2 and several other major titles in recent years.

) was leaked online I would be super pissed. But mostly these news stories refer to a broken street date and cracked DRM(which the cracked part is bad...). Seeing how the game went gold a month ago and is coming out next Tuesday.
