This is good behaviour, even if it is fueled by fear. I'm sure it will be a great experience, assuming one does not die between now and then. Ahem, Just Cause 3 is soon, isn't it? The let's plays from the beta pretty much secured a purchase from me.

Considering how Eidos Montreal's reboot of "Thief" went...
...Yeah. They probably don't want to colossally fuck up another major title.

Still, that was one of the only games I was looking forward to in the near future.

Fueled by fear? That seems to be highly speculative. It's just as likely, more so in my opinion, having heard the amount of personal investment the creators had in DE:HR, that they genuinely don't want to ship out a crappy product. And that they want it to be as good and awesome as they envision it to be.

OT: Good, I'm glad they're delaying it to improve the game. The better the game is, the better. xD

I'm not even thinking about near future release dates right now. Between finishing Witcher 3, playing Fallout 4, and maybe trying AC Syndicate, there just isn't enough time to care!

Translation for those who don't speak Industry;

Our QA team found a game breaking bug, stemming from the fact the PC version is an unomptimised console port, that would have seen all our Steam sales refunded on Day 1.
If that's the case, at least they had the forethought to delay the game instead of releasing it anyway. I believe that makes them above average for a AAA publisher!

I'm disappointed by this news, but at least it means I don't have to split my time between it and XCOM 2. So... silver lining, I guess?

I'm OK with this, they REALLY need to take their time to give something like a deus ex game all the effort it deserves.

Hearts of Iron 4 ...delayed
XCOM 2 ...delayed
Deus Ex Mankind divided ...delayed

I am all for seeing finished product rather than open beta. But really now games industry, you must stop playing with my heart so cruelly.

Heyy, i thought the "if" part would've covered my ass there. Evidently not. Thy cynicism worn on thy sleeve!:)
Your wording seemed to imply you were making a definitive statement, not theorizing. Sort of like saying "Trump is fun to watch, even if he is a complete asshole", kind of thing. If that was not your intent then disregard my comment.

No it's ok, i am usually uncertain about most of life so it is always usually maybe (heh, see what i did!) inserted into my speak. I do see now how you read it when you put it like that. It was not meant to sound that way. Oh well, ain't no biggy! Words are interesting creatures.
