Best game shown at E3 and will be my GOTY easily. however animation need some work. otherwise they are making it more redefine version than HR which was also masterpiece. i dont think it will be better than original game which is GOAT. but best one since original. Bring it on!!

Great. We got your one-sentence opinion and a trailer.
Can you add some discussion value?
Y'know, elaborate on your thoughts without resorting to buzzwords and shitting on another game in the process of self-validation.

Let's add something with less hyperbole that matches the merit of a discussion that asks very little of others in favor of one-sided gushing with minimal analysis: I'll reserve judgement until I can actually read some reviews, gain some insight from multiple perspectives, get a look at performance benchmarks and actually play it -- provided that it won't be bogged down with obtrusive DRM or some surprise always-online bullshit down the line.

Look's like more of the same, which is great!

Have they talked a bit more about the RPG element, those were pretty weak the first time around, I remember getting all the interesting talent before I was even out of the first city and not having any use for money very quickly (I'd still collect and sell weapon just for fun anyway).

To be fair, B-cell did say "MY" GOTY, rather than arbitrarily declaring it as such. That's a step up from previous threads. ;)

Sorry man, not gonna happen. Perhaps there may be a way of inspiring B-Cell to make threads that are more conducive to discussion and less shallow and biased. Perhaps staying out of his threads until he does can be a start. Maybe if he starts to notice that all he's contributing to this site are bare digital graveyards devoid of activity he'll begin to dig deeper in the spirit of exploring and sharing ideas in the name of love for our hobby.

On topic though, this joint looks like it'll be an absolute joy to play. Little too soon to call it GOTY, but it very well may be.

One thing that bothers me is the stealth take downs are still too jarring and often disorienting. It was more forgivable for HR, but it's 2016 now. Why do they have to black out the screen and show some canned animation for everything vs. doing it seamlessly?

Well fuck me sideways with the rusty side of Freeman's crowbar, I never would've seen this coming.

I kinda miss the yellow filter-y look. Kinda gave Human Revolution its own stylistic feel. I mean, if you're trying to not take from the old style, I understand. Just... feels odd not seeing it

Wow. Almost looks as good as Quantum Break!

Mostly just appears to be more of the same. Either a shitty shooter or a so-so stealth game depending on how you play it.

Those fade-out-fade-in takedown animations haven't got any less awkward with time.

Other footage I've seen suggests it's going to have the Dishonored problem of a massively overpowered player character loaded with enough gadgets and abilities to turn any challenge into a trivial romp.

Truly a man's game that. Look how manly and gravelly that beardy guy is! Doing all that badass man stuff so I don't have to risk my own scrawny ass dying and/or looking weird. God, my testosterone levels are going through the roof just thinking of how manly I'll feel playing this game! Totally not compensating here, but wow...it's been so long since my last power fantasy.

Oh god man, me too! I'm all over pretending I'm as awesome as the ultimate badass emotionless *HUEGH* people these games are supposed to be full of. Strong female leads? Actual feeling and character arcs? Games that require a thought process higher than your below average meathead jock stereotype? PSHAAAWWW! I am ready to plunge my MASSIVE DICK into this manly men's game!

I was kinda hoping they'd do something about takedowns and typhoon being so cutsceney but I guess some things don't change. I was hoping for perhaps a snappier execution maintaining a first person camera.

But well, more of the same is always good. Augs do look a fair bit more complex based on previous footage, I hope the controls aren't a clusterfuck to navigate to use those.

I don't miss it.

It was a nice enough colour scheme, don't get me wrong, but having the exact same colour scheme for the entirety of a rather long game was visually sickening.

I don't miss it either, but at the same time I'm not seeing a real 'replacement' for it in this either. With that I mean that it's not as visually striking, there's less of a strong visual identity it feels. Maybe not even a replacement colour scheme. Just, I don't know, something that sets it apart more.

But my biggest gripe with that video is the intensely console-ized UI. I'd like to see some gameplay of the PC port. Because that looks awkward as hell for a keyboard & mouse player.

Looks like they still have a colour filter on everything but it's less extreme this time.
What else is new: not much honestly. At least from that video. That is of course a good thing but I just can't shake the feeling I'm playing HR again.

HR has diffferent UI on PC. so this will go same route and nixxies are doing additional work on PC.

The strength of Human Revolution wasn't necessarily in it's disparate parts but rather how it mixed fun and satisfying gameplay mechanics with an intriguing and believable world which was both thematically interesting and internally coherent. Now, with believable I don't necessarily mean 'realistic' but as an extrapolation Human Revolution was damn effective.

It's funny you bring up Dishonered as I love that game for much of the same reasons. Without Dunwall yeah it would only be a so-so game but the dystopian setting was executed so well that it made me believe such a place could have existed in some kind of parallel universe not too dissimilair from our own. Both Human Revolution and Dishonered have that incredible sense of place that really makes me immersed in both games.

But anways, HR is among my top favorite games of last gen and everything I see of Mankind Divided is keeping up with my high expectations!

Eh, it's more Deus Ex. I see no downside to there being more Deus Ex. The original was awesome, the reboot was great, and I can't see any problems with this new addition. It's the only game I'm looking forward to this year, and the sooner I get my hands on it the better.
