Wow. Almost looks as good as Quantum Break!
Mostly just appears to be more of the same. Either a shitty shooter or a so-so stealth game depending on how you play it.
Those fade-out-fade-in takedown animations haven't got any less awkward with time.
Other footage I've seen suggests it's going to have the Dishonored problem of a massively overpowered player character loaded with enough gadgets and abilities to turn any challenge into a trivial romp.
The strength of Human Revolution wasn't necessarily in it's disparate parts but rather how it mixed fun and satisfying gameplay mechanics with an intriguing and believable world which was both thematically interesting and internally coherent. Now, with believable I don't necessarily mean 'realistic' but as an extrapolation Human Revolution was damn effective.
It's funny you bring up Dishonered as I love that game for much of the same reasons. Without Dunwall yeah it would only be a so-so game but the dystopian setting was executed so well that it made me believe such a place
could have existed in some kind of parallel universe not too dissimilair from our own. Both Human Revolution and Dishonered have that incredible sense of place that really makes me immersed in both games.
But anways, HR is among my top favorite games of last gen and everything I see of Mankind Divided is keeping up with my high expectations!
